Middlebury College volleyball player Maggie Wise (Winchester, Va.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week. The sophomore outside hitter averaged 3.64 kills and 2.45 digs per set, as the Panthers won two NESCAC road matches and posted a 3-0 record for the week. She recorded double-digit kills in each match, including a 17-kill and 16-dig effort during a five-set win at Williams, to go along with three blocks. Wise leads the Panthers and ranks third in the conference in kills (260) and fourth in kills per set (3.17).
Wise and her teammates, who earned the No. 5 seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament, return to action on Friday with a 7:30 p.m. NESCAC Quarterfinal match against fourth-seeded Amherst. The league's championship weekend will be hosted by Tufts.
