Middlebury College volleyball player Sarah Staver (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior middle hitter averaged 3.36 kills per set with a .418 hitting percentage in a 3-0 week for the Panthers. She also earned 10 digs, nine total blocks and five services aces in the three victories. Staver hit .472 with a career-high 17 kills in the regular-season finale versus Williams.
She and her teammates, who earned the fourth seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament, return to action on Friday in the quarterfinal round against fifth-seeded Tufts at 8:00 p.m. Bowdoin will serve as the host for the championship weekend.
