Middlebury picked up three wins on Saturday afternoon, taking all nine sets from their opponents at the Johnson & Wales Tournament. The day opened with a 3-0 (21, 16, 16) win over the University of New England, followed by a 3-0 (18, 12, 18) victory over Wheaton. The Panthers closed out the weekend by cruising to a 3-0 (10, 8, 4) win over Mt. Ida.
Against Wheaton, Melanie English earned eight kills with an .889 hitting percentage in the match. Piper Underbrink paced the squad with nine kills, while Olivia Kolodka added eight. Amy Hart earned seven kills with seven digs in the match, Hannah Blackburn had seven digs, while Katherine Haderlein earned 29 assists.
Megan Jarchow led the team with nine kills and six service aces against the University of New England. Hart and Underbrink each had eight kills, while Lauren Alper earned 15 digs on the defensive side. Haderlein again led the team in assists with 25.
Meg Anderson hit .727 with eight kills to lead the team against Mt. Ida. Lizzy Reed added nine kills, with seven from Gabi Rosenfeld. Blackburn and Rosenfeld each had five digs in the match.
Jarchow earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
