  • Panthers Recognized by AVCA for Work in the Classroom

    The Middlebury volleyball team continued its run of excellence in the classroom by earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. In total, a record-high 684 teams were recognized for their hard work.
  • Jarchow & Hart Named All-NESCAC

    Middlebury College field volleyball players Megan Jarchow (Cos Cob, Conn.) and Amy Hart (Kenilworth, Ill.) have both earned All-NESCAC honors. The senior duo helped lead the Panthers to an 18-7 mark in 2013, with a trip to the NESCAC Tournament.
  • Volleyball Ends Season In NESCAC Quarters

    The Middlebury women’s volleyball team saw its season come to an end with a 3-1 (21-25, 29-27, 25-21, 25-18) loss to Amherst in a NESCAC Quarterfinal match played at Williams. The Panthers finish the season with a final record of 18-7.
  • Volleyball Set To Defend NESCAC Title

    Defending champion Middlebury will look for its fifth NESCAC title when they travel to Williams for the NESCAC Championship weekend. The sixth-seeded Panthers will take on third-seeded Amherst at 8:00 p.m. on Friday night in a quarterfinal match-up.
  • Jarchow Earns NESCAC Honor

    Middlebury College women’s volleyball player Megan Jarchow (Cos Cob, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week for the second time this season. The senior had a big weekend for the Panthers, leading them to a pair of NESCAC wins at home. 
  • Volleyball Wins Pepin Finale

    Middlebury earned a 3-1 (25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19) win over Bates (11-17, 2-8) in the regular season finale for both teams. The Panthers (18-6, 5-5) have earned the sixth seed for the upcoming NESCAC Tournament and will face third-seeded Amherst on Friday night at Williams. 
  • Volleyball Knocks Off Bowdoin

    Middlebury dropped the first set before battling back for a 3-1 (17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-17) NESCAC victory over Bowdoin (20-6, 7-2) on Friday night in Pepin Gym. The Panthers (17-6, 4-5) have secured at least the seventh seed for the upcoming NESCAC Tournament and will play their final regular season match of the season on Saturday when they host Bates at 3:00 p.m. 
  • Volleyball Goes 1-1 At Hall Of Fame Tournament

    The Middlebury women’s volleyball team went 1-1 on Saturday at the Hall of Fame Classic hosted by Smith and Mt. Holyoke. The Panthers opened the day with a 3-2 (25-21, 18-25, 30-28, 22-25, 15-11) win over Amherst, avenging a 3-0 loss on October 11th. Middlebury closed the tourney with a 3-0 (21, 19, 15) loss to Springfield as Megan Jarchow earned all-tournament team honors.
  • Volleyball Tops MIT At Hall Of Fame Tourney

    The Middlebury women’s volleyball team improved to 15-5 on the season with a 3-1 (26-28, 25-12, 25-21, 26-24) win over MIT (18-9) at the Hall of Fame Tournament hosted by Mt. Holyoke. The Panthers are back in action on Saturday with matches against Amherst and Springfield.
  • Volleyball Sweeps Plymouth

    The Middlebury women's volleyball team got back on track with a 3-0 (17, 22, 11) road win at Plymouth State on Wednesday night. The Panthers improve to 14-5 and will take part in the Hall of Fame Classic hosted by Smith and Mt. Holyoke this weekend.
  • Volleyball Suffers Road Loss At Tufts

    Tufts and Middlebury battled for five sets before the Jumbos came away with a 3-2 win at Cousens Gym and kept hold of fourth place in the NESCAC. The visiting Panthers (13-5, 2-5 NESCAC) took a 2-1 lead after three sets, only to see the Jumbos come back and take the last two sets and win their second straight conference match.
  • Volleyball Drops Tight Match At Conn. College

    The Middlebury women’s volleyball team lost its third straight match, falling 3-1 (23, 25-12, 21, 20) at Connecticut College (9-9, 4-4) on Friday night. Middlebury dominated the second set, but were edged out by just 11 combined points in the other three sets.
  • Williams Tops Panther Volleyball Team
    October 12, 2013
    Middlebury dropped its second match in as many days, falling at home to Williams 3-0 (12, 21, 18) on Saturday afternoon. The Ephs, ranked #1 in New England, move to 17-2 overall and remain undefeated in the conference at 7-0. The Panthers fall to 13-3, 3-3 in NESCAC play and will return to action next weekend at Conn. College and Tufts.
  • Volleyball Falls To Amherst

    Middlebury dropped its first home match of the season, falling 3-0 (16, 17, 20) to Amherst (12-5, 4-2) in Pepin Gym. The Panthers (13-2, 3-2) return to action on Saturday when they host Williams at 3:00 p.m.

    Middlebury improved to 13-1 on the season as they earned a 3-1 (12, 9, 17-25, 16) win over Skidmore (7-11) in Pepin Gym. The busy week continues for the Panthers on Friday night when they host NESCAC foe Amherst at 8:00 p.m.
  • Jarchow Named NESCAC Player Of The Week

    Middlebury College women’s volleyball player Megan Jarchow (Cos Cob, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Co-Player of the Week. The senior earned 5.0 kills/set and hit at a .365 clip last week as the Panthers posted a 3-1 record. She also averaged 2.14 digs/set and earned seven service aces and three block assists. 
  • Volleyball Takes Two In Connecticut

    The Middlebury women's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins at Trinity on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers earned a 3-0 (18, 21, 21) NESCAC win over the Bantams (11-6, 2-3), before earning a 3-1 (26-28, 13, 17, 22) non-league win over Keene State.
  • Volleyball Knocked Off By Wesleyan

    The Middlebury women’s volleyball team dropped its first match of the season, falling 3-1 (22, 25-11, 21, 22) to Wesleyan (5-9, 1-3). The Panthers (10-1, 2-1), who opened the season with a school-record 10 straight victories, return to action at Trinity on Saturday against the Bantams and Keene State.
  • Volleyball Sweeps Plattsburgh

    Middlebury improved to 10-0 on the season with a 3-0 (24, 15, 22) win at Plattsburgh (6-10) on Tuesday night. The Panthers return to action on Friday night at Wesleyan.
  • Volleyball Wins Twice

    The women’s volleyball team improved to 9-0 on the season with a pair of wins at Hamilton (0-2, 2-10) on Saturday. The Panthers topped the host school 3-0 (17,16, 17) in a NESCAC contest, before defeating Union by a score of 3-1 (19, 25, 20-25, 22). 
  • Volleyball Cruises Past S. Vermont

    Middlebury remained undefeated on the season, improving to 7-0 with a convincing 3-0 (12, 17, 6) win over Southern Vermont (3-6). The contest was a rematch of the ’12 NCAA Regionals, where the Panthers came away with a 3-1 win. Middlebury returns to action at Hamilton on Saturday, taking on the host school as well as Union.
  • Volleyball Earns Victory Over Colby-Sawyer

    Middlebury earned a 3-1 (19, 17, 22-25, 23) win over Colby Sawyer (8-5) in Pepin Gym on Tuesday night. The Panthers (6-0) dropped their first set of the season during the match, opening the year with 15 straight victories. Middlebury returns to action on Thursday night when they host Southern Vermont.

    Middlebury earned a 3-0 (17, 22, 18) win over Colby (4-6, 1-1) in its NESCAC and home-opener in Pepin Gym. The Panthers move to 5-0 overall, 1-0 in the league and have not dropped a set all season. Middlebury returns to action on Tuesday night when they host Colby-Sawyer.
  • Volleyball Takes Three At J&W Tourney

    Middlebury picked up three wins on Saturday afternoon, taking all nine sets from their opponents at the Johnson & Wales Tournament. The day opened with a 3-0 (21, 16, 16) win over the University of New England, followed by a 3-0 (18, 12, 18) victory over Wheaton.
  • Volleyball Wins Opener

    The Middlebury women’s volleyball team opened up its season with a 3-0 (14, 18, 19) win at the Johnson & Wales Tournament against the host school. The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they take on the University of N.E., Wheaton and Mount Ida.
  • Volleyball Team Earns Academic Award

    The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today 93 Division III teams (15%) have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2012-2013 season, including Middlebury.
