The Middlebury women's volleyball team has now won eight of its last nine matches, as they earned an impressive 3-0 record at the final quad of the season at Colby. The Panthers finish the regular season with a 15-10 mark, including a 6-4 record in NESCAC play, earning them the fifth seed in the upcoming tournament. Middlebury used a 3-0 win over Bowdoin and 3-1 wins over both Bates and Colby on the weekend.
Jane Handel came up big against Bowdoin, pounding out 17 kills in the 3-0 win. Lindsay Patterson had 13 digs in the match, followed by Lauren Barrett with 11 and 27 assists.
Handel (13), Caroline Cordle (12) and Patterson (11) led the offensive attack in a 3-1 win over Bates. Natalie DuPre came up with 19 digs, while Barrett earned 41 assists.
Handel had another big match in the quad finale against Colby, earning 23 kills in the match. Patterson had 16, DuPre collected 30 digs, while Barrett dished out 49 assists.
