Four members of the Middlebury College track & field team have qualified for the 2013 NCAA Championships. The event will take place from May 23-25 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Senior Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) and junior Kevin Chu (Burlington, Vt.) will represent the Middlebury men, while seniors Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) and Addie Tousley (Kensington, Md.) will race for the women.
Davies enters the meet as the nation’s top-ranked competitor in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, owning a qualifying time of 8:52.12. He will race in the prelim event on Thursday at 9:30 p.m., with the finals taking place on Saturday at 3:10.
Ryan-Davis is ranked third nationally in the 800 meters, earning a season-best time of 2:07.73. Her preliminary event is slated for 8:10 p.m. on Friday, with the final race at 5:20 on Saturday.
Tousley will compete in the 5,000 meters, where she ranked ninth this season with a time of 16:59.91. The event will only feature a final race, with the event scheduled to take place on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Chu qualified in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.71, 17th nationally. The prelim race will take place at 6:25 on Friday with the finals at 4:25 on Saturday.
