Five Indoor Track Athletes Headed To NCAA's

Five members of the Middlebury College women’s indoor track team have qualified for the upcoming NCAA Championships. The events will take place on March 8th and 9th at North Central College in Naperville, Ill. Senior Addie Tousley will compete in the 5,000, while sophomore Alison Maxwell will race in the mile. The DMR relay team with Tousley, seniors Sarah O’Brien and Juliet Ryan-Davis and rookie Alexandra Morris will also compete.

Although comprised of different athletes, the Middlebury’s DMR relay teams have captured the last two NCAA Championships. This year’s group set an all-time NCAA Division III indoor record on February 22nd with a time of 11:32.36 at the Open New England Championships. The foursome enters the event as the top-seeded team.

Tousley enters the championships as the third-ranked racer in the 5,000 (16:51.28), while Maxwell is eighth in the mile (4:59.53).
