  • All-American Honors For Three Track Athletes

    Three members of the Middlebury College track & field team earned All-American honors on the final day of competition. The events were being hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Seniors Jack Davies, Juliet Ryan-Davis and Addie Tousley all accomplished the feat.

    After two days of preliminary action at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, three Middlebury athletes have earned spots in Saturday's finals. Seniors Jack Davies, Juliet Ryan-Davis, and Addie Tousley will all race in the finals of their respective events.

    Four members of the Middlebury College track & field team have qualified for the 2013 NCAA Championships. The event will take place from May 23-25 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Senior Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) and junior Kevin Chu (Burlington, Vt.) will represent the Middlebury men, while seniors Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) and Addie Tousley (Kensington, Md.) will race for the women.

  • Track & Field Takes Part In Open New England's

    Several Panther track and field athletes took part in the Open New England Championships hosted by Stonehill. The men finished 11th out of 36 scoring teams at the event, while the women were 19th of 35. The men's 4x100 relay team of Kevin Chu, Bryan Holtzman, Fritz Parker and Will Bain broke the school record with a time of 42.09, earning All-New England honors.
  • Track & Field Compete In New England's At Colby

    The Middlebury College track & field teams took part in the New England Championships hosted by Colby. The Panther men and women both finished in 10th place at the meet, with 25 women's teams and 26 men's teams in action. Senior Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) set a New England and school record with a win in the 800, finishing with a time of 2:07.73.
  • Track & Field Athletes Earn NESCAC Honors

    Following the completion of the NESCAC Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships this past Saturday at Tufts University, the NESCAC has announced its 2013 All-Conference Teams. The top three finishers in each event during the championship receive All-Conference recognition.

    The Middlebury track & field teams both turned in solid finishes at the 2013 NESCAC Championships hosted by Tufts. The Jumbos won both conference titles, with the Panther women placing second and the men coming in third.

    Tufts will host the 2013 NESCAC Track & Field Championships on Saturday, April 27 at Ellis Oval/Dussault Track in Somerville, Mass. Action gets underway at  9:00 a.m. Saturday with the Panthers looking to make a run at several titles.
  • Davies Is National Athlete Of The Week

    Middlebury College track athlete Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III national male athlete of the week. Davies won the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational 3000 steeplechase, primarily against DI and DII competition, in 8:52.12 — the 10th fastest time in Division III history.
  • Ryan-Davis Honored By NESCAC

    Middlebury College track athlete Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Female Athlete of the Week. The senior set a new Dragone Track record at the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Ryan-Davis won the 800, finishing with a time of 2:11.82.

    The Middlebury track and field teams hosted their only meet of the spring on Saturday, the Middlebury Invitational. The Panthers competed with the University of Vermont, Plattsburgh and the Colby-Sawyer women. Middlebury convincingly won both the men's and women's meets at Dragone, taking 25 of 35 events.
  • Davies Sets School Mark

    Middlebury's Jack Davies ran the 3,000 steeplechase at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton on Friday. The Panther senior turned in an impressive performance, winning the event with a school-record time of 8:52.08. The time also ranks him as the top Division III racer in the country in that event.

    The Panther track and field teams took part in a meet at Army on Saturday, taking on several Division I schools. Jack Davies earned a win in the 1,500 meter race, finishing with a time of 3:53.33, just ahead of teammate Wilder Schaaf (3:52.81).

    The Middlebury College track & field teams competed at Springfield against the Pride and Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. Several Panthers won events at the meet, with some impressive results. The Middlebury men and women both won the three-team event.
  • Davies Is NESCAC Performer Of The Week

    Middlebury College track athlete Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) has been named the NESCAC Men’s Track & Field Performer of the Week. Davies won the steeplechase at Point Loma Nazarene, finishing nearly six seconds ahead of the competition in 9:05.75.

    The Panther track and field teams competed for the second time in California over spring break. Middlebury took part in the Ross and Sharon Irwin collegiate scoring meet at Pt. Loma with some impressive results.

    The Middlebury track and field teams opened up their spring seasons at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Meet hosted by Pointe Loma Nazarane University in California. The Panthers return to action next Saturday at the same school in an invitational meet.
  • Tousley Earns All-American Honors In 5,000

    Middlebury's Addie Tousley earned her second All-American award on Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The senior raced to a third-place finish in the 5,000 meter event, recording a time of 17:02.11.
  • Track Athletes Compete At NCAA's

    The Middlebury women’s indoor DMR team was unable to earn the three-peat as the Panthers finished second at the 2013 NCAA Championships hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill. The team of Addie Tousley, Sarah O’Brien, Juliet Ryan-Davis and Alexandra Morris fell behind early but battled back to earn a second place finish in 11:34.51. All four of the athletes earned All-American honors.
  • Five Indoor Track Athletes Headed To NCAA's

    Five members of the Middlebury College women’s indoor track team have qualified for the upcoming NCAA Championships. The events will take place on March 8th and 9th at North Central College in Naperville, Ill. Senior Addie Tousley will compete in the 5,000, while sophomore Alison Maxwell will race in the mile. The DMR relay team with Tousley, seniors Sarah O’Brien and Juliet Ryan-Davis and rookie Alexandra Morris will also compete.

    The Panther indoor track teams were in action on Saturday, competing at the ECAC Championships hosted by N.Y. Armory and the Tufts Last Chance meet. Middlebury broke two school records over the weekend, with athletes looking to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
  • Women's DMR Team Breaks National Record

    The Middlebury women’s indoor track DMR relay team continued to impress on Friday night. Middlebury has won the last two indoor titles, and Friday night they set an all-time Division III indoor record. The foursome was competing at the Open New England Championships at Boston University, earning a second place finish with a time of 11:32.36. Addie Tousley (1600m), Juliet Ryan-Davis(800m) Alex Morris(400m) and Sarah O'Brien (1200m) comprised the record-breaking team, that topped the old record of 11:34.36 set by UW-Platteville.
  • Indoor Track Competes At New England's

    The Panther indoor track teams competed at the New England Championships over the weekend. The women’s team placed fourth among 23 teams at Southern Maine, while the men were ninth with 21 teams competing at Bates. Two Panther women won New England titles at the meet, as senior Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) broke her own school record with a time of 2:11.36 to win the 800.
  • Weather Forces Several Postponements - UPDATED AGAIN!

    Due to the impending storm expected to blanket the northeast, several schedule changes have occurred for Middlebury College Athletic events. The men’s and women’s NESCAC basketball games scheduled for Friday, February 8th vs. Trinity have been moved to Sunday, February 10th. The men will play at 5:00 and the women will follow at 7:00. Saturday’s games vs. Amherst have now also been postponed. The men’s game will be made up on Tuesday, February 12th at 7:00 p.m., while the women will play on Wednesday, February 13th at 7:00 p.m. 
  • Indoor Track Competes At Dartmouth

    The Panther indoor track teams took part in the Dartmouth Indoor Classic on Saturday afternoon. Teams from Division I, II and III competed at the meet, with several Panthers turning in solid performances. Juniors Bryan Holtzman (Sudbury, Mass.) and Kevin Chu (Burlington,Vt.), along with first-year racer Lauren Henry (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) all set school records at the meet.

    The Middlebury College indoor track teams took part in the B.U. Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University on Friday and Saturday. Teams from Division I, II and III competed at the event, with several Panthers turning in solid performances.
  • Indoor Track Competes At UVM
    January 19, 2013
    The Middlebury College indoor track teams were in action on Friday, taking part in a dual meet at the University of Vermont. Conor Simons broke the Middlebury school record in the heptathlon, finishing with 3,578 points. On the women’s side, Sarah O’Brien placed third in the 1,000 in 3:02.35, and is currently the top-ranked D3 athlete in New England in that event.
  • Indoor Track Opens Winter Season

    The Middlebury College indoor track teams opened up their season with a meet at Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers were in action against several teams, including Division I competition from Boston College and Dartmouth.
