Indoor Track Competes At Open N.E.'s

Several members of the Middlebury College indoor track teams took part in the Open New England Championships hosted by Boston University. One individual and two relay teams earned All-New England honors at the event.

First-year racer Colette Whitney (High Bridge, N.J.) placed fifth to earn All-N.E. honors, finishing the 5,000 with a time of 17:44.64. The women’s DMR team comprised of seniors Kaitlynn Saldanha (Scarborough, Maine) and Erin Toner (New Providence, N.J.) and sophomores Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) and Sarah O’Brien (Wellesley, Mass.) finished sixth overall with a time of 12:16.09. The men’s team of senior Addison Godine (Milton, Mass.), sophomore John Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.), junior Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) and rookie Peter Hetzler (Rumson, N.J.) also placed sixth, finishing with a time of 10:00.78.
