  • Track & Field Teams Honored For Academic Excellence

    The Middlebury College track and field teams were recently honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The men were one of 64 to become a Division III All-Academic Track & Field Team, earning a GPA of 3.10 or better. The Middlebury men reported the nation’s highest cumulative team GPA of 3.60 – a standard that is the best amongst all NCAA divisions for men’s track & field teams. The Middlebury women were one of 111 teams to earn the honor, owning a 3.52 GPA.
  • Track & Field Competes At Dartmouth

    The Panther track and field teams took part in a rare Sunday meet, racing at nearby Dartmouth over the weekend against the Big Green and the University of Vermont. Four different women won events, including senior Annie Rowell (Craftsbury, Vt.), who captured the 100 in 13.05.
  • Track & Field In Action At Springfield - Davies Honored

    The Panther track and field teams returned to action in New England on Saturday, taking part in the Springfield Invitational. Sophomore Jack Davies qualified for the NCAA’s in the 3,000 steeplechase, winning the event with a time of 9:21.44. For his performance, Davies was named the NESCAC Male Performer of the Week.
  • Track Team Race Again On West Coast

    The Panther track and field teams competed for the second time on their spring trip to California, racing at the Mengrum Invitational hosed by Cal State San Marcos. Sophomore Anthony Lee (Plainsboro, N.J.) turned in a solid performance in the 3,000 steeplechase, placing second overall in 9:47.3
  • Track Teams Open Spring Season In California

    The Panther track and field teams opened up their spring season with a meet at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego California. The men won the 12-team meet, while the women were second among a dozen teams.
  • Wilkerson Honored
    March 21, 2011
    The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the USTFCCCA Region Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the NCAA Division III indoor track & field 2011 season. Middlebury College women’s indoor track and field assistant Coach Nicole Wilkerson was named the New England Region Coach of the Year.
  • Women's DMR Team Wins NCAA Title

    The Middlebury College women’s DMR (distance medley relay) team has won the NCAA Indoor National Championships. The group accomplished the feat at the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. The team, comprised of senior Sophia Spring, sophomore Juliet Ryan-Davis, senior Kaitlyn Saldanha and junior Margo Cramer, won the event with a time of 11:47.96.
  • Indoor Track Athletes Headed To NCAA's

    Six members of the Middlebury College Indoor Track teams have qualified for the NCAA Championships. Michael Schmidt will race in the 5,000 on Friday, while Grace Doering will compete in the high jump. The women's DMR relay team of Erin Toner, Juliet Ryan-Davis, Kaitlynn Saldanha and Margo Cramer will race on Saturday.
  • Track Teams In Action At ECAC's

    The Middlebury College indoor track teams raced at the ECAC Championships hosted by N.Y.U. The women finished eighth among 45 scoring teams, while the mean were 23rd with 53 scoring squads. Top eight finishers earned All-ECAC honors.
  • Indoor Track Competes At Open N.E.'s

    Several members of the Middlebury College indoor track teams took part in the Open New England Championships hosted by Boston University. One individual and two relay teams earned All-New England honors at the event.
  • Track Teams Race At New Englands

    The Panther indoor track teams had a busy weekend, both competing at the New England Championships. The men earned their best finish in 10 years by tying for ninth place among 24 teams competing at Springfield. The women’s squad earned an impressive fourth place finish among 22 teams in action at M.I.T. Top eight finishers earned All-New England honors at the meets.

    The Middlebury College indoor track teams took part in meets hosted by Boston University and Tufts University over the weekend. Four different NCAA qualifying standards were met, while five school records were broken.
  • Indoor Track With Top Performances At Dartmouth

    The Middlebury College indoor track team took part in the Dartmouth Classic, with several athletes turning in impressive performances. Junior Nick Montello (Orwell, Vt.) won the long jump event, setting a new school record with a leap of 21’1.25”. Junior Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) was the other top male performer, winning the 3,000 in 8:39.82, while placing third in the mile (4:18.15).
  • Indoor Track In Action At UVM

    The Middlebury College indoor track teams competed at the University of Vermont on Friday, taking on McGill, St. Peter's and the host school. Four different athletes won events at the meet, with junior Marc Delaney (Wading River, N.Y.) finishing second in the 35-pound weight throw (46’1.25”) and the shot put (40’1.25”).
  • Indoor Track Competes At Bowdoin

    The Panther indoor track teams returned to action at the Bowdoin Quad Meet, competing against WPI, RPI and the host school. Senior Kaitlyn Saldanha (Scarborough, Maine) set a new school record with a win in the 600, finishing with a time of 1:37.82. She also won the 1000 in 3:04.91 and was a part of the winning 4x4 relay team.
  • Indoor Track Opens Season

    The Middlebury College indoor track teams opened their season with competition at the Dartmouth Relays. The Panthers competed against Division I, II and III teams from the U.S. and Canada.
