Indoor Track Competes At Open N.E.'s

2/26/05 - The <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middlebury College indoor track teams were in action at the Open New England Championships at Boston University.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Senior Allison Williams (Edina, Minn.) was the team's lone female representative, finishing the 500 with a time of 1:20.27.

On the men's side, senior Nick Digani (Northfield, Ill.) finished fifth in the 800, with a time of 1:53.51, once again, breaking his own school record. The 4x400 relay team of Digani, junior Kevin Bright (Sharon, Mass.), junior Mike Malek (Norridgewock, Maine) and first-year racer Patrick Swan (Horseheads, N.Y.) finished fifth with a time of 3:18.61, and a new Middlebury indoor record. Their time also qualified them for the upcoming NCAA Championships.
