3/5/05 - The Middlebury College indoor track teams took part in a "last chance" meet hosted by Trinity College at Yale over the weekend.
Senior Allison Williams (Edina, Minn.) performed well for the women, placing third in the 600 meters with a time of 1:41.48. Senior Melissa Thacker (Canton, N.Y.) finished fifth in the race in 1:41.69. In the pole vault, first-year athlete Sarah Wilson (Winchester, Mass.) finished fourth with a 9'5" effort, while senior Sarah Berkowitz (Media, Pa.) came in fifth, clearing 8'11".
In the 800 meter race, senior Nick Digani (Northfield, Ill.) came in sixth overall with a time of 1:56.24. Junior Matt Engler (San Diego, Calif.) came in sixth overall in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.88.
The top finish of the weekend was turned in by the 4x400 relay team of Digani, junior Kevin Bright (Sharon, Mass.), junior Matt Malek (Norridgewock, Maine) and first-year racer Patrick Swan (Horseheads, N.Y.), who placed second with a time of 3:20.39.
