    Varsity track has been a traditional part of the Middlebury College athletic program since 1910. The men's and women's teams compete in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) and also compete against Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III teams in New York and Division I teams in Vermont.
