Middlebury College women's swimmer Frances VanderMeer (Elmira, N.Y.) has earned All-NESCAC accolades for her efforts in the pool. The honor is given to the top-three finishers in each event during the 2019 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships held in the Wesleyan University Natatorium. The accolades mark the third-straight year that she has earned the league's laurels.
VanderMeer led the field to the wall in the 50-yard freestyle with a NESCAC Championship time of 23.55, besting the runner-up swimmer by .04 seconds. Her winning mark is an NCAA 'B' cut mark. A few events earlier, the junior garnered All-NESCAC honors with a third-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke, missing the school record in the event by .01 seconds.
Later in the meet, she capped her individual meet off with a bang, swimming to a third-place effort and All-NESCAC honors in the 100 free with an NCAA 'B' cut mark of 51.46.
