    The Middlebury women’s swimming & diving team concluded its 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships competing in two events on Saturday. The four-day event took place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina and is hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

    The Middlebury women’s 800 freestyle relay finished 15th for Honorable Mention All-American honors during day three of the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.   • Griffin, Wyer Earn All-NESCAC Honors, Rueppel Named Swimming Coach of the Year

    Two members of the Middlebury College women’s swimming & diving team were recently awarded All-NESCAC laurels. Sophomore Isabel Wyer (Deephaven, Minn.) along with senior Megan Griffin (Sudbury, Mass.) picked up all-conference accolades, given to the top-three finishers in each event during the 2016 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships hosted in the Middlebury Natatorium. Middlebury head coach Bob Rueppel was named the NESCAC Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year at the conclusion of the meet.
  • Panthers Finish Fourth at NESCAC Championship

    Middlebury finished in fourth place overall at the 2016 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship, as the Panthers hosted the three-day event inside the Middlebury Natatorium. Williams captured its third-consecutive title and 15th overall, amassing 2,045 points during the three-day meet. Amherst finished in second place with 1,343 points, followed by Bates (1,317.5), Middlebury (1,090.5) and Connecticut College (1,013).
  • Wyer Sets School Record in 200 Free, Panthers Up to Fifth at NESCAC Championship

    Behind a school-record event-winning performance from Isabel Wyer during Saturday evening’s 200 freestyle, Middlebury moved up one spot into fifth place following the second day of the 2016 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship in the Middlebury Natatorium. Williams increased its lead in the team standings on day two with a two-day total of 1,466 points, while Amherst sits in second place with 976 points. Bates (944.5), Connecticut College (771) and Middlebury (769.5) round out the top-five spots.
  • Two School Records Fall on Day One of NESCAC Championship

    Aided by two school-record performances during the opening day of the 2016 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship on Friday, Middlebury sits in sixth place among 11 teams competing at the event hosted by the Panthers in the Middlebury Natatorium. Williams leads the way with 731 points, while Amherst (512), Bates (492.5), Connecticut College (394) and Bowdoin (393.5) round out the top five.
  • Middlebury Hosts NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship

    Middlebury will look to challenge for a conference title when it hosts the 2016 NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships that begin on Friday, February 12. Preliminary heats will take place each morning followed by championship races in the evening. This year's three-day championship will take place at the Middlebury Natatorium in Middlebury, Vermont.
  • Panther Swimming & Diving Hosts Annual Middlebury Invitational

    The Middlebury swimming and diving teams hosted the two-day Middlebury Invitational on Friday and Saturday inside the natatorium. The event featured no team scores as Williams, Springfield, Tufts and the University of Vermont took part in the meet along with the Panthers.
  • Panther Swimming & Diving Ends Dual Meet Schedule at Williams
    January 23, 2016
    The Panther swimming and diving teams completed the dual meet portion of their schedules Saturday afternoon with a pair of tough tests against Williams. The fourth-ranked Eph women defeated visiting Middlebury by a 211-83 score, while the 11th-ranked Williams men defeated the Panthers, 186-94. Middlebury returns to action Friday and Saturday when it hosts the annual Middlebury Invitational. Action will begin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. while Saturday's events are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
  • Panthers Cruise Past Union in Home Meet
    January 16, 2016
    The Panther swimming and diving teams got back on the winning track with home dual meet wins Saturday afternoon over Union. The men eased past the visiting Dutchmen by a 150-88 score, while the women cruised over the Dutchwomen, 140-99. Middlebury returns to action next Saturday when it travels to Williams for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet with the Ephs.
  • Panthers Fall at Bates to Conclude Maine Weekend Trip

    The Panther swimming and diving teams wrapped up their weekend trip to Maine with a dual meet on Sunday at Bates. The men fell to the host Bobcats by a 183-111 score in Tarbell Pool, while the women were defeated 201-99. Middlebury returns to action Saturday when it hosts Union for a dual meet starting at 1:00 p.m.
  • Swimming & Diving Teams Begin Second Semester With Wins Over Colby

    The Panther swimming and diving teams opened their second semester with convincing road dual meet wins Saturday afternoon against Colby. The women were victorious by a 214-77 score, while the men cruised to a 200-93 victory. Middlebury returns to action Sunday with a dual meet at Bates scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
  • Panther Men Ease Past Springfield, Women Edged by Pride
    December 12, 2015
    The Panther swimming and diving teams capped off the first semester by hosting a dual meet on Saturday against Springfield. The men recorded 13 event victories and cruised by a 197-69 score for their first win of the season, while the women fell by a narrow 152-148 tally to the #23 Pride. The Panthers take a break for the holidays before returning to action on Saturday, January 9, when they travel to Colby for a dual meet starting at 1:00 p.m.
  • Panthers Take to the Pool on the Road at Amherst

    The Panther swimming and diving teams hit the road for a dual meet against Amherst at Pratt Pool. The women fell by a 177.5-111.5 count, while the men were defeated 173.5-111.5. Middlebury will complete first-semester competition next Saturday when it hosts Springfield for a dual meet beginning at 1:00 p.m.
  • Panther Swim Teams Open 2015-16 Season Hosting Tufts, Connecticut College

    The Panther swimming and diving teams opened up their respective 2015-16 seasons by hosting a meet with Tufts and Connecticut College. The Middlebury women were edged by the Camels (152-136) but rebounded to defeat the Jumbos (151-149), while the men were defeated by Connecticut College (152-128) and Tufts (176-112).
