  • Schott, Bartlett Named to Swimming & Diving Coaching Positions

    Middlebury College has announced the hiring of Garland Bartlett as the men’s and women’s swimming & diving assistant coach, while Bradley Schott has been named the programs’ diving coach. Bartlett comes to Middlebury from Trinity, where she served in a similar position for the past two seasons, while Schott spent last winter leading the Iona diving programs.
  • Koenigsberger, Women’s 400 Free Relay Set School Records On Final Day of NCAAs

    Stephan Koenigsberger and the women’s 400 freestyle relay each set school records Saturday during the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The four-day event took place at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas and was hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the City of Shenandoah.
  • Hillas Sixth, Koenigsberger Breaks School/NESCAC Record During NCAA Meet

    Middlebury's Jamie Hillas and Stephan Koenigsberger both earned individual All-American honors, as Hillas wound up sixth and Koenigsberger broke his school record and the NESCAC record winning the consolation final in the 100 breaststroke events during the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The four-day event is taking place at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas and is hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the City of Shenandoah.

    The Middlebury women’s 400 medley team improved its time from the morning preliminaries to the evening’s finals and raced to the wall with an Honorable Mention All-American 10th-place finish, highlighting the second day of the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.   • Hillas Swims to All-American Honors During Opening Day of NCAA Championships

    Jamie Hillas earned Honorable Mention All-American honors with a 14th-place finish in the 200 individual medley during day one of action on Wednesday at the 2015 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The four-day event is taking place at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas and is hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the City of Shenandoah.
  • Winter NESCAC All-Academic Teams Released

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) has announced its 2014-15 Winter All-Academic Selections. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution. The following are Middlebury’s 103 representatives, the second-highest total in the league.
  • Panthers Headed to Texas for NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships

    Seven members of the Middlebury College swimming and diving team will compete in the 2015 NCAA Championships from March 18-21. The event is taking place at the CISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas and will be hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the City of Shenandoah.
  • Quintet of Panther Women's Swimmers Earn All-NESCAC Honors

    Five Middlebury College women’s swimming & diving student-athletes recently were awarded All-Conference laurels. The top-three finishers in each event during the 2015 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships garnered All-Conference recognition.
  • 400 Free Relay School Record Caps Off NESCAC Championship, Panthers Finish Third

    Middlebury finished third overall at the 2015 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship hosted inside the Wesleyan Natatorium. Eighth-ranked Williams took home the team title with 2,103.5 points, while 17th-ranked Bates was a distant runner up with 1,345. Middlebury, ranked 19th nationally, finished third racking up 1,203 points, and #20 Amherst (1,042) and Bowdoin (932.5) round out the top five.
  • Panthers Remain in Third Following Day Two of NESCAC Championship

    Middlebury, ranked 19th nationally, remains in third place following the second day of the 2015 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship hosted by Wesleyan. Eighth-ranked Williams increased its lead on day two with a two-day total of 1,406.5 points, while 17th-ranked Bates (1,010), Middlebury (886.5), #20 Amherst (757) and Bowdoin (708.5) round out the top five.
  • Four School Records Fall on Opening Day of NESCAC Championship

    Aided by a quartet of school-record performances during the opening day of the 2015 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship on Friday, Middlebury sits in third place among 11 teams competing at the event being held at the Wesleyan Natatorium. Williams leads the way with 686.5 points, while Bates (541), Middlebury (469.5), Amherst (403) and Bowdoin (377.5) round out the top five.
  • Panther Women’s Swimming & Diving Eyes NESCAC Title

    Middlebury will look to challenge for a conference title when the 2015 NESCAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships begin on Friday, February 13, with preliminary heats in the morning followed by championship races in the evening. This year’s three-day championship will take place at Wesleyan Natatorium in Middletown, Connecticut.

    The Middlebury swimming and diving teams hosted the two-day Middlebury Invitational on Friday and Saturday inside the natatorium. The event featured no team scores as Williams, Springfield, Tufts and the University of Vermont also took part in the meet.
  • Panther Swimming & Diving Concludes Home Dual Meets Against Williams, Hillas Lowers Own Mark

    The Panther swimming and diving teams completed the home dual meet portion of their schedules Saturday afternoon with a pair of tough tests against Williams. The seventh-ranked Eph men defeated host Middlebury by a 190.5-103.5 score, while the eighth-ranked Williams women cruised over #19 Middlebury 185-109. The teams return to action Friday and Saturday when they host the annual Middlebury Invitational. Action will begin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. while Saturday’s events began at 9:30 a.m.
  • Panther Men Edge Past Union, Women Cruise

    The Panther swimming and diving teams continued their winning ways with road dual meet wins Saturday afternoon over Union. The men edged the host Dutchmen by a 122-119 score, while the women cruised, 149.5-86.5. The men have won four-straight head-to-head meets and go to 4-4 overall, while the women improved to 6-2. Middlebury returns to action Saturday afternoon when it hosts Williams for a dual meet at 1:00 p.m.

The men utilized their depth for the third-straight win in defeating the Bobcats by a 151-137 score, while the women fell by a narrow 152-146 tally. The Panthers return to action Saturday when they travel to Union for a dual meet starting at 2:00 p.m.

    The Panther swimming and diving teams continued their winning ways with road dual meet wins Saturday afternoon over Springfield. The women edged the host Pride by a 156-142 score, while the men cruised 175-123. The women have won five-straight head-to-head meets, while the men notched their second victory in a row. Middlebury returns to action Sunday when it hosts Bates for a dual meet at 11:00 a.m.
  • Panther Swim Teams Begin Second Semester With Wins Over Colby

    The Panther swimming and diving teams opened their second semester with convincing home dual meet wins Saturday afternoon against Colby. The women were victorious by a 199.5-84.5 score, while the men cruised 206-83. Middlebury returns to action next weekend when it travels to Springfield for a dual meet Saturday at 1:00 p.m., and return home Sunday for a matchup with Bates at 11:00 a.m.
  • Panther Women Defeat Amherst for First Time Since 02-03, Men Fall to Lord Jeffs

    The Panther swimming and diving teams ended their semester by hosting a dual meet against Amherst. The women utilized their depth to defeat the Jeffs for the first time since the 2002-03 season by a 158-130 score, while the men fell by a 203-77 tally. The Panthers return to action on January 3rd when they host Bates for a dual meet starting at 2:00 p.m.
  • Panther Swimmers Compete Against Tufts, Keene State

    The Panther swimming and diving teams continued their seasons with the first home meet of the yearagainst Tufts and Keene State. The Middlebury women edged by Tufts by a score of 163.5-135.5 and Keene State 156-144, while the men lost to Tufts 191-103 and Keene State 200-80.
  • Panther Swim Teams Open 2014-15 Schedule Against Connecticut College

    The Panther swimming and diving teams opened up their respective 2014-15 seasons with a road meet against Connecticut College. The Middlebury women were edged by the Camels by a score of 153-127, while the men were defeated by a 172-90 tally.

  • Wahl Joins Swimming Coaching Staff

    Middlebury College has announced the hiring of Zack Wahl as an assistant swimming coach. Wahl comes to Middlebury from Union College, where he graduated in the spring of 2014 with a degree in biology and geology.
  • Schmidt To Head Middlebury Diving

    Kimberly (Kimi) Schmidt has been named the new diving coach at Middlebury College. She replaces Lisa Gibbs, who stepped down after 16 years of service to the program. Schmidt will serve under the direction of Panther head coach Bob Rueppel.
