  • Tibbetts Earns All-American Honors At NCAA Swimming
    March 24, 2012
    The Middlebury swim team finished tied for 26th among 54 scoring teams at the 2012 NCAA Championships at IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Panther Andrea Tibbetts earned All-American honors with a sixth place finish in the 100 back. After placing sixth in the qualifying race, she earned a time of 56.13 in the finals for another sixth place finish, this one with All-American honors.
  • Eight Women's Swimmers Headed To NCAA's

    Eight members of the Middlebury College women’s swim team will take part in the 2012 NCAA Championships from March 21-24. The championships are taking place at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • Men's Swimming & Diving Finishes Seventh At NESCAC's

    The Middlebury men's swimming and diving team held on to seventh place throughout the NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Williams College. The Ephs won the event with 2,011 points, followed by Amherst with 1,959, while the Panthers earned 646.5 points.
  • Ten Women's Swimmers Earn NESCAC Honors

    Ten members of the Middlebury College women’s swim team recently earned All-Conference honors. The top three finishers in each event at the 2012 NESCAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships received All-Conference recognition. Andrea Tibbetts earned the honor in seven different events, while Nora Daly and Jamie Hillas each earned the honor three times.
  • Men's Swimming & Diving Headed To NESCAC's

    Williams College will host the rest of the conference for the 2012 NESCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships. The three-day meet, now in its 12th year, begins on Friday, Feb. 24 at the Samuelson-Muir Pool in Williamstown, Mass. with preliminary heats every morning followed by championship races in the early evening.
  • Women's Swimming Finishes Fourth At NESCAC's

    After sitting in fourth place after each day of the 2012 NESCAC women’s swimming and diving championships hosted by Wesleyan University, the Panthers held on strong for a fourth place overall finish. Williams won the event (1,430), followed by Amherst (1,430), Tufts (1,261) and Middlebury (1,125). Jamie Hillas won two individual titles, while one relay team took home a NESCAC crown.

    Wesleyan University will host the 2012 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The three-day meet begins Friday, Feb. 17 with preliminary heats in the morning and championship races in the evening at the Wesleyan University Natatorium in Middletown, Conn.

    The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams hosted their annual invitational meet, with Williams, Amherst and Springfield in town to compete against the Panthers. Several Middlebury athletes turned in top performances, with three different relay teams winning events.
  • Swim Team Cancels Williams Meet

    Due to widespread illness throughout the men's and women's squads, the Middlebury swimming and diving teams will not compete at Williams on Saturday, January 28th. The Panthers will return to action on February 3-4 when they host the Middlebury Invitational.
  • Swim Teams Cruise Past Union
    January 21, 2012
    Middlebury had little trouble with Union, as the Panther men and women picked up victories at home. The women's team earned a 226-67 win and took all but one event, while the men earned a 174-124 victory.
  • Swim Teams Top Hamilton

    The Panther swimming and diving teams returned to action with home wins over Hamilton. The men emerged with a 167-65 victory, while the women came away with a 164-78 win.
  • Swim Teams Return To Action

    The Middlebury swimming and diving teams returned to action from the semester break with a pair of meets in Maine over the weekend. On Saturday at Colby, the women finished with a 173-103 win, while the men came away with a 164-127 win. Sunday, the women topped Bates 154-134, while the men fell 152-142.
  • Swim Teams Entertain Springfield

    The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams finished up the first semester with home meets against Springfield. The Panther women picked up a 177-123 win, while the men were edged, 156-146.

    The Panther swimming and diving teams returned to action with a meet at Amherst on Saturday. The Panther men suffered a 162-116 loss, while the women were defeated 173-127.
  • Swim Teams Open With Tufts & Conn. College
    November 19, 2011
    The Middlebury swimming and diving teams opened up their 2011-12 seasons by hosting Tufts and Connecticut College. The women earned a 152-148 win over Tufts and a 172-121 victory over Conn. College. On the men's side, the Jumbos earned a 166-128 win over the Panthers, while the Camels were 181-107 victory.
  • Middlebury Swimmers Participate in 2011 Ted Mullin “Hour of Power” Relay for Sarcoma Research

    It is nearly impossible to find anyone whose life has not been touched by cancer, whether it is through a friend, family member, or even a teammate. The swimmers at Middlebury have found one more way to fight back: the sixth annual Ted Mullin “Leave It in the Pool” Hour of Power Relay for Sarcoma Research, sponsored by the Carleton College swimming and diving teams, on November 8th.
