About The Program

The women’s squash team is consistently ranked in the top-15 nationally among all divisions in collegiate squash. The team plays in a state-of-the-art nine-court squash facility that opened in the fall of 2013 and was dedicated as the Bostwick Family Squash Center in November 2018.

Middlebury has enjoyed some great seasons, including the 2004 through 2006 years where the program captured three-consecutive Walker Cup titles. The 2010 team set a school record with 20 wins, ending the year with a 20-9 mark and a national ranking of 13th. In 2008-09, the Middlebury women’s team also garnered a 13th-place laurel posting a 19-8 record. The team finished ranked a program-best 11th at the conclusion of the 2011-12 campaign.

The Panthers have reached the semifinal round of the NESCAC Tournaments in each of the last 11 seasons. Middlebury finished second in 2011 and 2012, with third-place finishes in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019.

Middlebury is a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) which includes Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Connecticut College, Hamilton, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan and Williams. The squash schedule also includes challenges from some of the region’s and nation's top teams.
