Cromwell enters his second season as the assistant coach with the Panther squash programs in 2019-20. He is a 2016 graduate of Middlebury with an honors degree in computer science and played professionally after earning his diploma.
Following graduation, Cromwell trained and competed as part of the Professional Squash Association, living in Connecticut, New York, Boston and England. He achieved a world ranking as high as No. 161 and is currently ranked among the top-250 players.
Originally from Towson, Maryland, Cromwell walked on to the program in the fall of 2012 and ascended up the ladder during his four years. He played nearly every spot in the lineup for the Panthers, competing in the top-two spots during his senior season. Cromwell served as one of the team captains during the 2015-16 season, helping guide the Panthers to a 15th-place finish at the College Squash Association Team National Championships.
