Middlebury Cruises Past Tufts

The #15 Middlebury women's squash team (6-7) earned a 7-2 victory at #20 Tufts (6-6) on Sunday afternoon. Both teams are back in action when they compete in the 2020 NESCAC Championships February 7th-9th on the campus of Wesleyan University.

The Panthers recorded four 3-0 victories over the Jumbos. In the fourth spot, Natalie Madden held her opponent to just 15 points (2,5,8), while #6 Natasha Lowitt (4,4,8), #7 Caroline Arena (7,6,8) and #8 Anne Glassie (11,2,9) each cruised in their matches.  

In the ninth flight, Mira Chugh lost the first game 12-10, but bounced back, winning three-straight (2,4,3) to pick up a 3-1 victory. #3 Gwen Davis (11-9, 12-14, 11-5, 11-8) and #5 Emily Beinkampen (11-3, 11-7, 9-11, 12-10) also won by scores of 3-1. Knotted 1-1, Davis won two-straight, while Beinkampen never trailed in her match.
