  • Middlebury Tops Bates in Kurtz Cup Consolation Playoff

    The seventh-seeded Middlebury women’s squash team (9-9) cruised past eighth-seeded Bates 7-2 in the CSA Team Nationals Kurtz Cup (B Division) consolation playoff match on Sunday afternoon at Yale University. The last time the two teams played in the CSA postseason was also in the 15th/16th match, where the Bobcats (12-7) won 6-3 in 2017. The teams squared off earlier this season with Bates coming away with a 6-3 victory. Both teams wait to hear about the CSA Individual Championships which will be hosted by the University of Pennsylvania March 3-5.
  • Middlebury Edged 5-4 in Kurtz Cup Consolation Semifinals

    The #15 Middlebury women’s squash team (8-9) lost a hard-fought battle 5-4 to sixth-seeded/#14 George Washington University in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) Consolation Semifinals on Saturday afternoon. The seventh-seeded Panthers face eighth-seeded Bates in the consolation playoff at 1:00 p.m.  on Sunday, while the Colonials take on Williams in the consolation finals on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
  • Women’s Squash Falls in Kurtz Cup Quarterfinal

    The #15 Middlebury women’s squash team (8-8) suffered a 9-0 loss to #10 Virginia in a CSA National quarterfinal match. The seventh-seeded Panthers met the second-seeded Cavaliers (15-6) for the second-straight year in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) quarterfinals and third time overall in the CSA Team Championships.
  • Panthers Head to CSA Team Championships This Weekend

    The Middlebury women’s squash team has earned the No. 7 seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the upcoming CSA Team Championships to be played at Yale University. The 15th-ranked Panthers take on 10th-ranked/No. 2 seeded-Virginia in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 21 at 2:30 p.m. This is the second-straight year that the two teams will meet in the quarterfinals and third time overall in the CSA Team Championships. The Cavaliers hold a 6-2 record in the series and have won the last six meetings.
  • Women’s Squash Finishes in Third at NESCAC Championship

    The fifth-seeded Middlebury women’s squash team (8-7) eased past third-seeded Amherst 6-3 in the third-place match of the 2020 NESCAC Championship on Sunday. The match was the third-straight time the teams have met in the third-place contest, with the Panthers winning all three over the Mammoths (11-6). 
  • Women’s Squash Falls in NESCAC Semifinals

    The fifth-seeded Middlebury women’s squash team (7-7) earned a 7-2 victory over fourth-seeded Bates (10-4) in a NESCAC Quarterfinal match on Saturday morning, but fell 9-0 to top-seeded Trinity (13-2) later in the day. The Panthers will play in the third-place match against the loser of the Amherst/Williams semifinal contest on Sunday at noon. The Bantams will play for their 13th-straight title at the same time on Sunday. 
  • Women's Squash Eyes NESCAC Crown

    Fitfh-seeded Middlebury will be in search of a NESCAC crown this weekend when the three-day 2020 NESCAC Women’s Squash Championship begins on Friday. Trinity, which has won all 13 NESCAC Women’s Squash titles, is the top seed, making it the 14th consecutive year the Bantams are the No. 1 seed. Wesleyan is serving as the sole host of the NESCAC Championship for the first time after sharing hosting duties with Trinity in eight previous championships dating back to 2007.
  • Middlebury Cruises Past Tufts

    The #15 Middlebury women’s squash team (6-7) earned a 7-2 victory at #20 Tufts (6-6) on Sunday afternoon. Both teams are back in action when they compete in the 2020 NESCAC Championships February 7th-9th on the campus of Wesleyan University.
  • Women’s Squash Drops Pair of Top-10 Matches

    The #15 Middlebury women’s squash team (5-7) competed against a pair of top-10 teams on Saturday at Harvard. The Panthers fell by scores of 9-0 to both #10 Virginia (9-5) and #1 Harvard (9-0). Middlebury heads to #19 Tufts on Sunday for a 3:00 p.m. start. 
  • Women’s Squash Eases Past Colby 8-1

    The #15 Middlebury women’s squash team (5-5) triumphed 8-1 at #25 Colby (2-7) on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers return to the courts on Saturday at MIT where they will take on #9 Virginia at 11:00 a.m. and #1 Harvard at 5:00 p.m.  
  • #15 Women’s Squash Falls at #17 Bates
    January 23, 2020
    The #15 Middlebury women’s squash team (2-7) fell at #17 Bates (9-3) on Thursday night in its first contest of a three-match road stretch. The teams traded the first six games, but the Bobcats picked up the final three to triumph 6-3. The Panthers return to action on Friday when they head to #21 Bowdoin for a 3:00 p.m. match.
  • #14 Women’s Squash Downed by #12 Brown
    January 19, 2020
    The #14 Middlebury women’s squash team fell 6-3 to #12 Brown (2-4) on Sunday afternoon in its second match of the weekend in the Bostwick Family Squash Center. The Panthers (3-4) return to action on January 23rd when they hit the road for a three-match road trip in Maine. They play at #17 Bates on Thursday, before heading to #27 Bowdoin and #24 Colby on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
  • #14 Women’s Squash Sweeps #18 Franklin & Marshall

    MIDDLEBURY, Vermont – The #14 Middlebury women’s squash team swept #18 Franklin & Marshall (6-3) on Saturday morning at home.  The 9-0 Panther victory snaps the Diplomats’ five-match win-streak, while the hosts improve to 3-3. Middlebury returns to action on Sunday when it hosts #12 Brown at noon, while Franklin & Marshall travels to Williams on the same day for a 12:00 p.m. start.
  • Women's Squash Opens Home Schedule With A Win

    The Panther women’s squash team (2-3) earned a dominating 9-0 win over #16 Amherst (2-2) in the team’s home opener at the Bostwick Family Squash Center on Thursday. The 14th-ranked Panthers are home again this weekend, facing Franklin & Marshall and Brown on Saturday and Sunday at noon.
  • Panther Women's Squash Downed By #5 Drexel

    The #14 Panther women’s squash team concluded their road trip with an 8-1 loss to #5 Drexel (5-4) on Sunday. Middlebury (1-3) will open up the home portion of its schedule on Thursday when it hosts Amherst at 3:00 p.m.

    The Middlebury women’s squash team suffered a 6-3 loss on Saturday afternoon at 15th-ranked George Washington (3-5). The #14 Panthers (1-2) return to action on Sunday with an 11:00 match at Drexel.

    The Panther women’s squash team opened up its second semester with an 8-1 loss at #13 Williams (4-3). The 14th-ranked Panthers (1-1) return to action with a contest at George Washington on Saturday.
  • Women’s Squash Blanks Hamilton in Season-Opening Win

    Middlebury blanked host Hamilton on Saturday afternoon by a 9-0 score in its season opener in the Little Squash Center. The 14th-ranked Panthers (1-0) return to the courts on Sunday, January 5 when they travel to Williams for a 4:00 p.m. match.

  • 2019-20 Women's Squash Season Preview

    After a solid winter on the courts a season ago, the Middlebury women’s squash team is ready to build on those positives in 2019-20. Last season, the team tallied a 13-6 record against a demanding schedule, winning their first six matches to start the 2019 year. The Panther women finished 14th nationally and returns seven of the nine regulars to action this season.
