The Middlebury women's squash team has earned the No. 7 seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the upcoming CSA Team Championships to be played at Trinity in the Kellner Squash Center. The Panthers, ranked 15th overall, will take on 10th-ranked Virginia in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. and will continue to play on both Saturday and Sunday to determine their overall finish.

The Panthers enter the weekend with a 12-4 record and a third-place finish at the NESCAC Tournament earlier this month. After posting a 2-1 mark in December, Middlebury rattled off six-consecutive victories during the first part of January before running into a slew of nationally-ranked foes. The Panthers played Virginia in the second-to-last match of January, dropping a 9-0 decision in a contest played at Franklin & Marshall.

Leading Middlebury into the tournament will be senior captains Beatrijs Kuijpers and Alexa Comai. This winter, Kuijpers has tallied an 8-7 mark atop the ladder, while Comai is 11-5 overall, mainly in the third spot of the lineup.
