The 15th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team posted a 9-0 victory over host Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in the Rosenbaum Squash Center. The Panthers (2-0) wrap up their first semester of action on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. against 14th-ranked George Washington in a match played in Connecticut.
In the win over the 20th-ranked Cardinals (3-4), the visitors tallied three-game victories in the bottom seven spots. Mira Chugh got the Panthers on the scoreboard with a win at No. 9 (11-1, 11-2, 11-2) against Carly Blue, while Natalie Madden increased the Middlebury lead to 2-0 via a win in the sixth spot (11-1, 11-4, 11-4) over Annie Roach. Alexa Comai cruised past Nina Premutico at No. 3 (11-5, 11-2, 11-6), while Gwen Davis made the score 4-0 with an 11-3, 11-1, 11-3 triumph over Sydney Kim in the eighth slot.
Emily Beinkampen secured the team's fifth point with an 11-4, 11-5, 11-2 victory against Ali Imperiale in the fifth slot, while Ideal Dowling recorded a 6-11, 11-7, 11-3, 11-3 win at No. 2 over Ananya Vir. Natasha Lowitt was victorious in the seventh spot against Emma Smith (11-3, 11-4, 11-0), Virginia Schaus breezed past Natasha Feenstra in the fourth spot of the lineup (11-6, 11-3, 11-5), while Beatrijs Kuijpers completed the sweep with an 11-4, 7-11, 12-10, 11-6 win against Aditi Prasad in the top spot.
