The 15th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team fell to #10 Dartmouth by an 8-1 score on Friday in the Kurtz Cup quarterfinal round at the CSA National Team Championship. The event is being hosted by Harvard in the Murr Center. The Panthers (11-9) return to action Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in a consolation semifinal match against #14 Virginia.
The Big Green (6-9) jumped out to a 2-0 advantage following a three-game win at #9 and a five-game victory in the third spot. Middlebury secured its lone point of the match when Virginia Schaus tallied an 11-3, 9-11, 11-7, 11-7 triumph against Julia Potter at #6.
Dartmouth claimed the final six matches to finish, with four wins coming in three games and the remaining two contests ending in four games.
