  • Hau, Pownall-Gray Compete in CSA Individual Championships

    Middlebury women's squash players Tiffany Hau and Saskia Pownall-Gray participated in the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships at The Squash Club at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, Connecticut. Hau posted a 1-2 record in the Holleran Cup’s ‘D’ bracket of 16 players, while Pownall-Gray was defeated twice in the ‘C’ bracket.
  • Panther Women Best Virginia at CSA National Team Championships

    The Middlebury women’s squash team defeated Virginia by a score of 7-2 in the Kurtz Cup’s 15th/16th-place match at the CSA National Team Championship. The event was held at Yale’s Brady Squash Center. The Panthers improve to 2-0 in the all-time series with the Cavaliers and finish the season ranked 15th-nationally with a record of 9-9 under first-year head coach Mark Lewis.
  • Panthers Fall to F&M at CSA Team Nationals

    Middlebury fell to #12 Franklin & Marshall by a 6-3 score on Saturday evening in the Kurtz Cup consolation semifinal at the CSA Women's Squash National Team Championship. The event is being hosted by Yale at the Brady Squash Center. The 15th-ranked Panthers (8-9) return to action Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. for the 15th/16th-place match against #16 Virginia. Sunday’s match marks the second meeting between the two teams, as the Panthers defeated the Cavaliers by an 8-1 score on January 13, 2007 at Williams.
  • Women’s Squash Drops Decision to Drexel at CSA Team Nationals

    The 15th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team fell to #10 Drexel by a 7-2 score on Friday evening in the Kurtz Cup quarterfinal round at the CSA National Team Championship. The event is being hosted by Yale at the Brady Squash Center. The Panthers return to action Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. in a consolation semifinal match against #14 Franklin & Marshall. Middlebury squared off with the Diplomats on January 17 at Williams, when Franklin & Marshall came away with a 7-2 victory.
  • Kuijpers Picks Up Second-Team All-NESCAC Honors

    Beatrijs Kuijpers (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been selected to the 2016 All-NESCAC women’s squash second team. The first-year player helped Middlebury secure the #7 seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the upcoming National Team Championships to be played at Yale from February 26-28.
  • Women’s Squash Headed to CSA National Team Championship

    The Middlebury women’s squash team has been given the #7 seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the upcoming National Team Championships to be played at Yale in the Brady Squash Center. The Panthers, ranked 15th overall, will battle 10th-ranked Drexel in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 26 at 5:30 p.m. and will continue to play on both Saturday and Sunday to determine their overall finish.
  • Panthers Victorious in NESCAC Third-Place Match Over Amherst

    The Middlebury women's squash team, seeded third and ranked 15th, finished in third place overall with a 6-3 victory over fourth-seeded and 16th-ranked Amherst in the 2016 NESCAC Tournament hosted by Trinity. With the win, the Panthers improved to 8-7 and will return to action at the CSA Team Championships at Yale.
  • Panthers Advance to NESCAC Semis Before Falling to Williams

    The 15th-ranked Panther women's squash team, seeded #3 in the NESCAC Tournament hosted by Trinity, advanced into the semifinal round on Saturday before falling to the second-seeded and 12th-ranked Williams by a score of 8-1. Middlebury earned a bye through the first round, and posted an 8-1 victory over sixth-seeded and 18th-ranked Hamilton in the quarterfinal round. The Panthers (7-7) return to play on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in the third-place match against the #4 seed Amherst, ranked 16th in the latest national poll.
  • Women’s Squash Aims for NESCAC Title

    Third-seeded Middlebury will be in pursuit of a conference title this weekend when the three-day 2016 NESCAC Women's Squash Championship begins on Friday. Trinity’s George A. Kellner Squash Center will serve as the host for all of this year’s championship bracket matches, while Wesleyan’s Rosenbaum Squash Center will host select consolation matches on Saturday. The NESCAC Championship match will be played on Sunday, February 7 at 1:30 p.m.
  • Women’s Squash Ends Regular Season With Two Losses

    The 15th-ranked Middlebury women’s squash team ended the regular season portion of its schedule with a pair of matches Saturday against nationally-ranked opponents. The Panthers started the day with a 9-0 setback to sixth-ranked Yale as a part of the Yale Round Robin, and followed that with a 6-3 loss to #10 Dartmouth. Middlebury (6-6) returns to the court on Friday when it competes in the NESCAC Tournament hosted by Trinity.
  • Women’s Squash Falls to Williams

    The Middlebury women’s squash team, ranked 15th in the latest national poll, fell Saturday afternoon to 11th-ranked Williams on the road by a 7-2 score. The Panthers (6-4) have a week off from competition before returning to the court next Saturday with matches against #4 Yale and #10 Dartmouth as part of the Yale Round Robin.

    The Middlebury women’s squash team, ranked #14 in the latest national poll, concluded a busy stretch, losing to 15th-ranked Franklin & Marshall by a 7-2 score on Sunday in a match played at Williams. The Panthers (6-3) have nearly a week off from competition before returning to the court Saturday in a road contest with the 13th-ranked Ephs at 2:00 p.m.

    The Middlebury women's squash team was defeated 6-3 on Saturday by #11 Brown in the Panthers’ final home match of the season. Middlebury (6-2) sees its six-match winning streak come to an end, as the 14th-ranked Panthers return to the court on Sunday when they take on #15 Franklin & Marshall in a match to be contested at Williams.

    The Middlebury women’s squash team increased its winning streak to six-straight matches with an 8-1 home victory Wednesday over #20 St. Lawrence. The 14th-ranked Panther women return to the court Saturday at 12:00 p.m. when they host 11th-ranked Brown.

    The Middlebury women’s squash team grabbed an 8-1 victory over #16 Amherst in the squad’s home-opening match Tuesday evening. The 14th-ranked Panther women return to the court Wednesday when they host 20th-ranked St. Lawrence at 4:30 p.m.
  • Panther Women’s Squash Records Perfect 3-0 Weekend in Maine

    The Middlebury women's squash team recorded three victories on the road in matches last weekend during a trip to Maine. The 14th-ranked Panthers started things with a 6-3 victory over #18 Bates. Middlebury continued their winning ways Saturday with a pair of 8-1 wins over #23 Colby and #17 Bowdoin, respectively. The Panthers (4-1) have won four-consecutive matches and return to the court on Tuesday when they play a home match against #16 Amherst at 5:00 p.m.
  • Women’s Squash Earns Victory Over Hamilton

    The 14th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team earned its first victory of the season with a 6-3 triumph on the road Saturday over #19 Hamilton in the Little Squash Center. The Panthers (1-1) return to the court on the road Friday, January 8 when they play #15 Bates at 6:00 p.m. followed by matches with #23 Colby and Bowdoin on Saturday, January 9.
  • Women’s Squash Falls to Cornell to Open Winter

    The 14th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team began its season with a 9-0 setback to sixth-ranked Cornell as a part of the Williams Round Robin in Massachusetts. The Panthers return to the court on December 5 at Hamilton.
  • 2015-16 Women's Squash Preview

    Following a solid finish last winter, the Middlebury women's squash team has its sights set on lofty goals in 2015-16. A season ago, the women posted a record of 16-7 against a tough schedule and finished the year ranked 13th nationally (fifth in the ‘B’ division’s Kurtz Cup). The team returns six of the nine regulars to the court this winter.
