  • Women's Squash Players Earn NESCAC Honors

    Three members of the Middlebury College women’s squash team have earned All-NESCAC honors. Senior Elena Laird (Cambridge, Mass.) and sophomore Abby Jenkins (Latham, N.Y.) were both named to the first team, while first-year player Charlotte Dewey (Greenwich, Conn.) earned second team honors. The group helped lead the team to a 16-8 record with an overall national ranking of 11th.

    Senior Elena Laird (Cambridge, Mass.) and sophomore Abby Jenkins (Latham, N.Y.) represented the Middlebury College women’s squash team at the individual national. The duo competed in the 64-person bracket, with matches taking place at Amherst.
  • Women's Squash Ends Year 11th

    The Middlebury College women’s squash team finished up their season ranked 11th nationally after competing in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) at nationals hosted by Harvard. The Panthers finished third overall among Division III schools and were voted the most improved team in the nation.

    The Middlebury women's squash team has earned the top seed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) for the upcoming Team Nationals hosted by Harvard. The Panthers, ranked ninth overall, will take on 16th ranked Franklin & Marshall in a quarterfinal match on Friday, February 24th at 4:00 p.m.
  • Women's Squash Wins Three Of Four

    The Middlebury women’s squash team earned a 3-1 mark over the weekend as the team’s February break came to an end. The 11th-ranked Panthers opened with an 8-1 loss at #8 Dartmouth on Friday night. Saturday at MIT, Middlebury topped #24 Wellesley 9-0 before earning a 7-2 victory over #9 Bates. The weekend concluded with the team defeating St. Lawrence at home Sunday, 9-0.
  • Women's Squash With Road Win At Hamilton

    The Panther women’s squash team earned an 8-1 win on the road, topping 15th-ranked Hamilton. Middlebury, ranked 11th in the latest national poll, won for the fifth time in its last six outings to improve to 10-6 overall.

    The Middlebury College women’s squash team earned a third-place overall finish at the 2012 NESCAC Championships hosted by Trinity. The Panthers were seeded fourth in the tourney, opening with a 9-0 victory over Hamilton.
  • Women's Squash To Vie For NESCAC Title

    Middlebury will challenge for the NESCAC Championship this weekend as they visit Trinity for the 2012 NESCAC Women’s Squash Championship. The three-day tournament features all 11 conference teams with opening round action beginning Friday evening at Trinity’s George A. Kellner Squash Center in Hartford, Conn.

    The Panther women’s squash team earned a pair of road wins over the weekend, topping #15 Columbia 6-3, while cruising past #21 Connecticut College, 9-0. Middlebury, ranked 12th in the latest national poll, will take part in the NESCAC Championships this weekend at Trinity. 
  • Women's Squash Drops Tight Contest At Williams

    The Middlebury women’s squash team lost a hard-fought match at Williams on Sunday, falling to the #10 Ephs, 5-4. The #12 Panthers picked up wins from Elena Laird, Charlotte Dewey, Annie Wymard and Annie Ulrich, but were unable to secure the fifth victory.

    The Middlebury women’s squash team won its fifth-straight match, topping #15 Amherst 9-0 at home on Tuesday. The #12 Panthers dropped just two sets on the afternoon, cruising to the victory in front of the home crowd.
  • Women's Squash Dominates Four Opponents

    After dropping its first four matches of the season to top-ranked teams in the country, the Middlebury College women’s squash team won four straight last week. The 12th-ranked Panthers won their four matches by a combined score of 34-2, capping the weekend with a 7-2 victory at #13 Mt. Holyoke.
  • Top-Ranked Harvard Tops Women's Squash

    The Middlebury women’s squash team had their work cut out for them on Wednesday, taking on top-ranked Harvard at Dartmouth. The #12 Panthers were unable to take a set from Harvard, suffering a 9-0 loss.
  • Women's Squash Opens Season

    The women’s squash team began its season against some top competition. The 12th-ranked Panthers lost 9-0 matches to #6 Stanford and #7 Cornell at Williams, before falling by the same score at #3 Princeton.
