  • Baker & Hatfield Compete At Nationals

    Senior Hannah Baker (New York, N.Y.) and sophomore Sarah Hatfield (Barrington, R.I.) competed in the "B" division at the Women's Squash Individual Championships last weekend. Baker won a pair of matches before falling in the quarterfinal round, including a win over the sixth-ranked player from Mt. Holyoke. Hatfield was defeated in her first round match, but came back to win a pair of matches in the back-draw.

    The Middlebury College women's squash team competed in the "B" division at the Howe Cup national tournament at Yale this weekend. The Panthers, who have often competed in the "C" division, moved up this season after a successful year and an impressive national ranking of 14th.
  • Women's Squash Headed To Nationals

    The Middlebury College women's squash team will compete in the Kurtz Cup Division of the National Championship Tournament this coming weekend at Yale. The Panthers (11-5) are seeded 14th and will face 11th-seeded Bowdoin (17-9) in their first match on Friday evening at 5:30.
  • Women's Squash Competes At NESCAC Tourney

    The Middlebury College women's squash team competed in the NESCAC Tournament over the weekend with several nationally ranked teams. The #15 Panthers opened with a tight 5-4 loss to Bowdoin in the second round. Middlebury then bounced back to defeat Amherst 6-3 and Colby 5-4 in the consolation round.

    The Middlebury College women's squash team had an impressive week as the Panthers went 5-0, with four wins coming at the Amherst Invitational. Middlebury lost just five games all weekend, cruising to victories. The Panthers are now ranked 14th in the latest national poll.
  • Women's Squash Wins Two Of Three

    The Middlebury College women's squash team won two of three matches over the weekend at the Yale Invitational. The Panthers opened with an 8-1 win over Virginia, fell 7-2 to Bates, before bouncing back with a 7-2 win over Connecticut College.
  • Women's Squash Competes At Wesleyan

    The Panther women's squash team had a busy weekend as they played four matches at the Wesleyan Invitational. Middlebury dropped a tight 5-4 match to Colby before falling 6-3 to Bates on Friday night. The Panthers then fell to Bowdoin 8-1 before rolling over Smith, 9-0 on Saturday.
  • Women's Squash Opens With A Win

    The women's squash team opened up its season with an 8-1 win over Connecticut College in a match played at Dartmouth. All of the winners for the Panthers won in either three sets or by default.
