  • Morgan Named Women's Tennis And Squash Coach

    Mike Morgan has been named the new head coach of the women's tennis and squash programs at Middlebury College. He succeeds Nate Simms, who took over the men's tennis program at Skidmore, and David Saward, who will take on administrative duties beginning this fall in addition to his role as the men's soccer coach. Morgan comes to Middlebury from NESCAC member Colby, where he has served as the men's and women's head tennis coach since 2003-2004 as well as the assistant coach for men's and women's squash.
  • Bakers Competes At Nationals

    Junior Hannah Baker (New York, N.Y.) of the Middlebury College women's squash team competed at the CSA (College Squash Association) Individual Championships last weekend at Amherst. Baker was eliminated in the first round of the tourney, but battled back, advancing all the way to the championship final of the consolation bracket, winning three matches.
  • Women's Squash Ends Season At Nationals

    The Middlebury College women's squash team competed over the weekend, taking part in the national tournament hosted by Harvard. The Panthers fell 9-0 to Cornell, bounced back with a 6-3 win over Connecticut College, before losing a tough one to St. Lawrence, 5-4.
  • Middlebury Tops Amherst
    February 21, 2006
    The women's squash team returned to action on Monday as they defeated Amherst 5-4 in a match played at Williams. Hannah Baker, Katie Hawkins, Kara Zarchin, Liz Parker and Ellie Buechner picked up wins for the Panthers in the match.
  • Women's Squash Competes At NESCAC Tourney

    The Middlebury College women's squash team took part in the first NESCAC Tournament last weekend hosted by Wesleyan and Trinity. The Panthers defeated Hamilton 8-1 in the first round, before losing 9-0 to Williams in the quarterfinals. Middlebury then ended the weekend with a 5-4 loss to Connecticut College in a consolation match.
  • Women's Squash Has A Busy Week

    The Panther women's squash team had a busy week, dropping a 5-4 mid-week match to Vassar before playing four matches at Mt. Holyoke/Smith Invitational. Middlebury lost to Colby 6-3 on Friday before bouncing back to hand Smith a 9-0 loss. The Panthers won a pair of hard-fought 5-4 matches on Saturday, defeating Franklin & Marshall along with William Smith.
  • Women's Squash Falls To Vassar
    January 26, 2006
    Last year at the Howe Cup, Middlebury defeated Vassar in the championship match of the "C" division and took the title with a 5-4 win. Coming into Wednesday afternoon's match at Vassar's Kenyon Hall, the Brewers were ranked No. 23 nationally and Middlebury was impressively ranked No. 12.
  • Women's Squash Returns To Action

    The Middlebury College women's squash team returned to action with a pair of contests at the Amherst Invitational. The Panthers pulled off an impressive 5-4 win over Amherst, before defeating Wesleyan 9-0.
  • Women's Squash Opens Season

    12/4/05 - The Panther women's squash team opened up its season with four matches at the Wesleyan Round Robin Tournament over the weekend. Middlebury fell to Bates and Bowdoin 9-0, while defeating Hamilton 9-0 and Stanford 6-3.
