The Panther women's golf team finished fifth among 16 teams at the Mount Holyoke Invitational Tournament. The competition was held at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the Williams Fall Classic. Amherst won the tourney with a two-day total of 619, followed by Williams (622), NYU (628), Wellesley (639) and Middlebury (641).
Blake Yaccino paced the Panthers over 36 holes, placing fourth overall with a 150, including a sparkling 73 on day two. Just one spot back in fifth place was Chloe Levins, who shot a 75 and 77 for a two-day total of 152. Helen Dailey was next for Middlebury with a 169 (88-81), followed by Maddy Cordeiro, who shot a 172 (82-90). Rounding out the team was Anna Zumwinkle, who came in with a 187 (99-88). Erika Nakagawa competed as an individual, carding a 97 and an 89 for a two-day total of 186.
