  • Levins Earns Post-Season Honors
    May 29, 2019
    Middlebury women's golfer Chloe Levins (Rutland, Vt.) has been named a First-Team All-Region selection, as well as an Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). This season, the junior became just the second Middlebury individual to qualify for the championship, joining Flora Weeks '12 who took part in 2009 and 2012.

    Chloe Levins finished in a tie for 18th place among 131 golfers at the 2019 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships. The event was hosted by the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

    Chloe Levins continued to climb on the leaderboard on day three at the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championships. Action for the 131-person field is taking place at the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. Play concludes on Friday with the final 18 holes.

    Chloe Levins has moved from 29th to 21st place after 36 holes at the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championships. Action for the 131-person field is taking place at the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. Play continues on Friday with another 18-hole round.

  • Levins Qualifies For NCAA Women's Golf Championship

    Middlebury women’s golfer Chloe Levins (Rutland, Vt.) has been selected to compete at the 2019 NCAA Championships from May 14-17 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Harris County-Houston Sports Commission will serve as hosts. Levins is just the second Middlebury individual to qualify for the championship, joining Flora Weeks ‘12 who took part in 2009 and 2012.
  • Women's Golf Competes at Williams Spring Invitational

    The Panther women's golf team placed third among six teams at the Williams Spring Invitational hosted by the Taconic Golf Club. The hosts won the event with a two-day total of 599, followed by Amherst (636) and Middlebury (637).
  • Panthers Compete at Jack Leaman Tourney

    The Middlebury women’s golf team placed sixth among 10 teams competing at the Jack Leaman Women’s Championship. Williams won the event with a 597, followed by Wellesley (626), NYU (632) and the Panthers (657). Amherst hosted the tournament at the Ledges Golf Club.
  • Women's Golf Opens Spring at Vassar

    The Panther women’s golf team opened up spring play with a fourth-place finish at the 12-team Vassar College Invitational. Williams won the event with a 609, followed by NYU (615), Wellesley (639) and Middlebury (646). Action took place at the Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie, New York.

  • NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team Announced

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced its Fall All-Sportsmanship Team for each fall sport sponsored by the conference. The All-Sportsmanship Team is composed of one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship. The student-athlete selected must be in good academic standing and a member of the team at the conclusion of the season in order to be eligible for selection. 
  • NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team Members Honored

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) has announced its 2018 Fall All-Academic Selections. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution. The following are Middlebury's 84 representatives, the highest total in the conference.
  • Women’s Golfers Earn NESCAC Honors; Levins Named Player of the Year

    Junior Chloe Levins (Rutland, Vt.) of the Middlebury’s women’s golf team was tabbed as the NESCAC Player of the Year as well as picking up first-team accolades. She becomes the first Panther to earn the league’s highest honor since the award’s inception in 2015. Classmate Blake Yaccino (Kenilworth, Ill.) also earned first-team honors. Middlebury competed in five events this fall and will resume their schedule in April.
  • Women's Golf Third at NESCAC Championship as Levins Wins Medalist Honors

    Williams captured the 2018 NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship/George Phinney Classic with a two-day total of 643 (320-323) at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. The Ephs led by a stroke after one day of play, increasing their lead to seven at the tournament’s end. Amherst placed second overall with a 650 (321-329), followed by the host Panthers with a 663 (326-337). Chloe Levins of Middlebury captured medalist honors with a pair of 76s for a two-day total of 152, four strokes better than her opponents.
  • Day One Complete at George Phinney/NESCAC Women's Golf Championship

    Williams leads after one day of play at the 2018 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship/Geroge Phinney Classic at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. The Ephs shot a 320 on Saturday, one stroke better than Amherst (321) and six strokes ahead of the hosts from Middlebury (326). Action concludes on Sunday with 18 holes of golf beginning at 9:00 a.m.
  • Middlebury to Host NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship

    The NESCAC Women’s Golf Championship will be played at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt. on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7. The event, which is held in conjunction with the George Phinney Jr. Golf Classic, will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
  • Levins Earns Medalist Honors at Williams Fall Invitational

    The Middlebury women’s golf team placed fifth among 15 teams at the Williams Fall Invitational. Chloe Levins earned medalist honors at the event, besting the field by five strokes. NYU won the event with a 622, followed by Williams (625), Amherst (633), Wellesley (649) and Middlebury (651).
  • Panthers Fifth Among 16 Teams at Mount Holyoke

    The Panther women’s golf team finished fifth among 16 teams at the Mount Holyoke Invitational Tournament. The competition was held at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the Williams Fall Classic. Amherst won the tourney with a two-day total of 619, followed by Williams (622), NYU (628), Wellesley (639) and Middlebury (641).
  • Middlebury Wraps Up Play at Wellesley

    The Middlebury women’s golf team placed fourth overall at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational hosted by Wellesley at the Nehoiden Golf Course. Amherst won the six-team event with a 611, the hosts were next with a 625, while the Panthers shot a 675. Middlebury is back in action next weekend at Mt. Holyoke.
  • Women's Golf Places Second Among 11 Teams at St. Lawrence

    The Middlebury women’s golf team opened up its season by taking part in the 11-team St. Lawrence Invitational. The Panthers placed second overall with a two-day total of 625, including a 308 on Sunday. New York University won the event with a 592, while Hamilton was third (631).

    The Middlebury women’s golf team heads into the 2018-19 campaign with a bit of a different look, as three players from last year’s roster graduated. The Panthers finished in the top four in each of the eight tournaments it teed off in, including runner-up performances at both the St. Lawrence Invitational and Middlebury’s George Phinney Golf Classic.
