    The Middlebury College women’s basketball team saw its season come to an end with an 80-50 loss at top-ranked Amherst. The Panthers finish the season up at 7-17 overall, 0-10 in NESCAC play.

    Trinity secured a bid to the NESCAC Tournament with a 60-47 victory over visiting Middlebury in NESCAC women's basketball action on Ogrodnik Court in the Oosting Gymnasium. The Bantams improve to 9-11 overall and 3-6 in the NESCAC with its second win in a row, while the Panthers falls to 7-16 overall and 0-9 in the league.

    The Middlebury women’s basketball team outscored Lyndon State 40-14 in the first half en route to a 69-40 non-conference road win over the Hornets (7-13). The Panthers (7-15) resume their NESCAC schedule at Trinity on Friday night.

    Colby closed the first half on a big run and never looked back, on its way to a 69-49 win over Middlebury (6-15, 0-8) in Pepin Gym. The Mules, who shot 15-18 from the free throw line, improve to 15-5, 5-3 in NESCAC play.
  • Big Second Half Lifts Bowdoin Past Women's Basketball

    Bowdoin outscored Middlebury 49-27 in the second half on its way to a 68-58 come-from-behind victory over the Panthers (6-14, 0-7) in Pepin Gym. The Polar Bears (16-5, 5-2) shot 52% from the floor in the second half, holding a 38-29 advantage on the boards in the contest.
  • Women's Hoops With Road Win In Albany

    The Middlebury women’s basketball team picked up a 70-60 non-league win at Albany Pharmacy on Wednesday night.  The Panthers (6-13) held a 42-22 advantage on the boards, as the Albany Panthers fell to 11-7. Middlebury returns to NESCAC play on Friday night when they host Bowdoin at 6:00 p.m.
  • Williams Pulls Away From Women’s Basketball

    Williams broke open a five-point game in the second half, on its way to an 86-56 win over Middlebury (5-13, 0-6) in Pepin Gym. The #21 Ephs (17-3, 4-2) connected on 12-25 (.480) from three-point range and shot .508 from the floor in the win.
  • Women's Basketball Falls At Keene
    January 26, 2012
    Middlebury dropped a non-league game at Keene State on Thursday night, falling by a score of 63-45. The Owls extended their winning streak to four games with the win at Spaulding Gym. Sophomore Scarlett Kirk scored 16 points to lead the Panthers (5-12) while senior Maddie Moreau had nine points.

    Middlebury shot .491 from the floor, holding on for a 77-74 win over Plattsburgh (6-9) in a non-conference match-up in Pepin Gym. Scarlett Kirk paced the Panthers with 20 points, going 10-10 from the free throw line in the game. Middlebury returns to action on Thursday at Keene State before hosting Williams on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
  • Women's Basketball Drops NESCAC Game At Hamilton

    The Middlebury women’s basketball team (4-11, 0-5) dropped a NESCAC road game at Hamilton Friday night, falling by a score of 43-41. The Continental (7-9, 1-4) earned their first league win and second straight victory. The Panthers are idle until Tuesday night, when they host Plattsburgh at 5:30 p.m.
  • Women's Basketball Wins Shootout Over Colby-Sawyer

    The Middlebury women’s basketball team won a 95-90 overtime thriller at home against Colby-Sawyer in Pepin Gym. Both teams shot over 50%, but it was the Panthers that came out on top in the offensive battle. Middlebury (4-10) returns to conference play on Friday, traveling to Hamilton, while Colby-Sawyer (10-5) next hosts New England College on Saturday.

    Middlebury battled back late but could not overcome Wesleyan as the Cardinals (9-4, 2-2) came away 63-54 win over the Panthers (3-10, 0-4) in Middletown, Connecticut. Taking the lead for good with 9:42 remaining in the first half, 14-12, on a three-pointer by senior Emily Lippe.

    The Middlebury women’s basketball team suffered a 72-59 setback at the hands of Conn. College in NESCAC action on Friday night. The Camels (11-2, 2-1) post their eighth win in their last nine games, while the Panthers (3-9, 0-3) drop their sixth straight contest.

    Middlebury dropped its second straight NESCAC game as the Panthers (3-9, 0-3) fell 66-43 to Tufts (11-2, 2-0) in Pepin Gym. The loss was the second to the Jumbos in five days after falling on January 2nd at the Maine Maritime Tournament.

    Middlebury dropped a 59-41 game to Daemen College on day one of the Williams College Tournament. The Panthers (2-2) will take on Bridgewater State in the consolation game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Daemen, a former NAIA school transitioning to NCAA Division II, will take on the hosts at 3:00 p.m.

The Panthers improve to 2-1 on the year, while the Spartans suffer their first loss, falling to 3-1. Middlebury returns to action on Friday and Saturday at the Williams Tournament, while Castleton visits UMaine-Farmington and Thomas.

    The Middlebury women's basketball team held Wheelock to just seven first half points en route to a 62-23 win over the Wildcats in the consolation game of the Swarthmore Tip-Off Tournament. Brittany Perfetti was named to the all-tournament team.
