The Middlebury women's basketball team earned a road win in their NESCAC opener as they defeated Connecticut College 75-56.
The Panthers went on a lengthy 20-5 run in the first half to take a 32-14 lead with 2:05 remaining in the half. Leading by 13 at the intermission, Middlebury opened the second half with a 9-0 run to increase its lead to 42-20 early in the second half. The Camels would get no closer than 14 for the remainder of the game as the Panthers cruised to the win.
Lacey Hebert led Middlebury with 18 points, Jennifer Kelleher added 13, while Maryanne Verzosa and Katie Fisher scored 10 points apiece.
