The Panther ski teams had another solid day at the Colby Carnival on Saturday afternoon, finishing third overall with 827 points. Just four points ahead was Dartmouth in second, while Vermont won the event with 899 points. A Alpine racer Ali Nullmeyer won for the second time this season, while Sophia Laukli picked up her second win in as many days for the nordic squad. Unfortunately, team results were not available when this story was posted. Quarry Road Trails was the host site for the nordic events, while the alpine racers were held at Sugarloaf Mountain. Middlebury returns to action next weekend when they are back in Maine, this time at the Bates Carnival.

On the nordic course, Laukli earned her third-straight win for the Panthers, earning the top spot in Saturday's 10K classic with a time of 32:41. Two spots back was Alexandra Lawson, who kept her string of top-five finishes going (6 races), by placing third overall in 33:59. Rookie Charlotte Ogden earned her best career finish, placing seventh in 35:14, as the Panthers placed first overall in the event.

Peter Wolter finished second for the third-straight race for the Middlebury men, earning the feat in the 15K classic with a time of 45:01. Samuel Hodges just missed the top-10 in 11th place overall (47:01), while Willson Moore came in 16th (47:25). The Panther men finished second overall in the event.

Nullmeyer captured the slalom for the second-straight week, after winning at Vermont and placing second at Harvard. The first-year racer covered the two runs with a combined time of 1:49.13. Madison Lord was next for the Panthers in 17th place (1:53.88), followed by Sofia Yubero, who came in 25th (1:54.86).

The men's team was paced by the one-two punch of Justin Alkier and Tim Gavett, who placed fourth (1:43.55) and fifth (1:43.87) respectively. Payton Campbell rounded out the scorers in 28th place overall (1:51.51).
