Nottonson Competes for Nordic Team on Day Two at NCAA Championships

Nordic action began on day two of the NCAA Skiing Championships hosted by the University of New Hampshire. Races took place at the Jackson Ski Touring Center in Jackson, N.H. After two days of competition, Utah leads the field with 301.5 points, followed by Denver (265) and Colorado (240). Dartmouth is tops among east schools in fifth (170), while the Panthers sit in 13th place (43). Alpine action resumes on Friday with the slalom races beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Lewis Nottonson was the lone Panther competing in Thursday's nordic races, which included the men's 10K classic event. Nottonson covered the course in 26:27, placing 35th overall in the event. Western schools claimed the top-eight spots in event.

Nottonson will return to action on Saturday when he competes in the 20K freestyle race at 10:00 a.m.
