Andrew Gardner has been named the head coach of the men's and women's nordic ski teams at Middlebury College. He replaces 31-year veteran Terry Aldrich, who stepped down as head coach after this past season. Aldrich will maintain his duties as head coach of the cross country running teams, while also assuming administrative duties in the fall of 2006.

Kelly Brush, a sophomore at Middlebury College and a member of the varsity alpine ski team, was seriously injured on Saturday, Feb. 18, in a fall during the women's giant slalom at the Williams College Winter Carnival. The race was held at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, Mass.
