  • Bartlett Named Head Alpine Coach

    Stever Bartlett has been named the new alpine ski coach at Middlebury College. He succeeds three-year head coach Forest Carey, who left the college to take a job with the United States Ski Team.
  • Gardner Named Head Nordic Coach

    Andrew Gardner has been named the head coach of the men's and women's nordic ski teams at Middlebury College. He replaces 31-year veteran Terry Aldrich, who stepped down as head coach after this past season. Aldrich will maintain his duties as head coach of the cross country running teams, while also assuming administrative duties in the fall of 2006.
  • Middlebury Finishes Seventh At NCAA Ski Championships

    The Middlebury College ski teams finished seventh out of 24 teams scoring at the 2006 NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Colorado. The championship concluded the 31st and final season for nordic head coach Terry Aldrich. Top eight finishers earned All-American status.

    The Middlebury College ski teams hosted the Middlebury Carnival over the weekend, as the Panthers placed second overall to Vermont. The alpine events were held at the Snow Bowl, while the nordic events were moved to the Craftsbury Nordic Center due to a lack of snow.

    Kelly Brush, a sophomore at Middlebury College and a member of the varsity alpine ski team, was seriously injured on Saturday, Feb. 18, in a fall during the women's giant slalom at the Williams College Winter Carnival.   • Middlebury To Host Ski Carnival

    Middlebury College will be the host site for the EISA Skiing Championships on February 24th and 25th. The alpine races will be held at the Snow Bowl, while the nordic races have been moved to the Craftsbury Nordic Center.

    The Panther nordic and alpine ski teams raced to a third place finish over the weekend at the Williams Carnival. Vermont won the event, with Dartmouth edging Middlebury by one point to claim second place.

    The Middlebury College nordic and alpine ski teams began their seasons at the Colby Carnival over the weekend. Vermont won the season-opener with 639 points, followed by Middlebury with 624, Dartmouth with 614 and UNH with 533.
