The Middlebury College men's and women's cross country teams will take part in the 2015 NCAA Championship races hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The events will take place on November 21 at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The women's race will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by the men's race at 1:00 p.m. local time.
The fifth-ranked women are making their 20th-straight appearance at the event, looking for a seventh NCAA title. The Panthers previously won titles in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2008 and 2010 with second-place finishes in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2011. Middlebury earned an at-large bid to the championships after a third-place finish at last weekend's NCAA Regional race. The Panthers have captured the NESCAC Championship on 13 different occasions.
Making the trip for the Panther women will be seniors Adrian Walsh, Katherine Tercek and Nikki Schachman, juniors Erzsie Nagy, Emma DeCamp and Sasha Whittle, along with first-year racer Abigail Nadler. Sophomore Robin Vincent will serve as the team's alternate.
The 27th-ranked men are making their sixth straight trip to the NCAAs. The Panthers finished a program-best seventh last season at the NCAA Championship meet. Middlebury earned its way into the national meet with an at-large bid after placing sixth in the NCAA Regional race last weekend. The Panthers won their first NESCAC title in 2010.
Competing for the men will be seniors Sebastian Matt and Sam Cartwright, juniors Brian Rich and Sam Klockenkemper, sophomores Ascencion Aispuro and Kevin Serrao and first-year racer Connor Evans. Fellow rookie Miles Meijer will serve as the team's alternate racer.
