The Middlebury College cross country teams took part in the 45th Annual Albany Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. In a race featuring teams from all divisions, the women finished second among 23 teams, while the men were third of 21.
Senior Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) was the team’s top finisher, coming in fifth overall with a time of 17:54.9. Junior Addie Tousley (Kensington, Md.) was next for the Panthers in 10th place (18:06), followed closely by senior Chelsea Ward-Waller (Washington, D.C.) in 11th (18:12). Sophomore Emily Singer (Harrison, N.Y.) finished the race in 18th place (18:33), while first-year racer Katie Carlson (Princeton, Mass.) rounded out the scorers in 20th (18:38).
Junior Jack Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) led the Panther men, placing sixth overall with a time of 25:46. First-year racer Kevin Wood (Lincolnshire, Ill.) finished the race in 13th place (25:57), followed by sophomore Nate Sans (Princeton, Mass.) in 19th (26:09). Placing 22nd was senior Sam Miller (Needham, Mass.) in 26:11, followed by sophomore Greg Krathwohl (Ipswich, Mass.), who earned a 29th place (26:21) finish.
