The Panther men's indoor track and field team had members participate at both the Boston University Hemery Valentine Invitational and the Ephs Field & Track Meet at Williams. Middlebury returns to action on Friday, February 28th when it heads to Springfield for the two-day Division III New England Championships.
At BU, Nathan Hill broke into the top-50 in a field of 291 athletes in the 800. He placed 31st with a time of 1:52.66, while Sawyer Tadano was not far behind, crossing the finish line in 1:53.87. Arden Coleman recorded a time of 50.32 in the 400, while Nick Hendrix clocked in at 22.78 in the 200. Nate Evans shaved three seconds off his personal best time in the 1,000, crossing the finish line in 2:34.55. Jonathan Fisher placed in the top-10 in the high jump, tying his personal best with a height of 6'4.75". In a field of 342, Middlebury had nine competitors in the mile. Liam Hoagland paced the Panthers, crossing the line with a personal best time of 4:16.87, while Will Meyer was just behind in 4:18.96.
At Williams, the men's team had several Panthers compete in field events. Nathanial Klein earned top-honors in the shot put (48'7.25") and the weight throw (47'9.25"). Justin Moran placed second in the long jump with a leap of 20'1.75", while earning fourth in the high jump with a mark of 5'7". Zack Sieb placed fourth in the shot with a heave of 44'0.5".
