A pair of Panthers from the men's squash team competed at the 2020 CSA Individual Championships this weekend at the University of Pennsylvania. Jack Kagan made his third appearance at the championship event and competed in the Molloy North division, while Nick Bermingham was in the Molloy West division. Both Middlebury players fell in the round of 16, before earning 3-0 victories in the consolation quarterfinals on Friday.
On Saturday, Kagan was edged in a five-game thriller against Bowdoin's Deven Kanwal. He opened the match with a pair of triumphs (6,4), but Kanwal battled back, winning three-straight (7,7,8) to advance to the consolation finals. Bermingham won his first game 15-13, but Brown's Maximo Moyer won the final three games (7,1,7).
Kagan finishes his career with 52 victories, while Bermingham closes out his time as a Panther with 32 wins.
