Two members of the Middlebury men's squash team will compete in the 2020 CSA Individual Championships from March 6-8 at the University of Pennsylvania. Senior Nick Bermingham (Denver, Colo.) is making his first appearance at the Championships, while senior Jack Kagan (Chapel Hill, N.C.) competes in his third.
Kagan is set to play in the Malloy North bracket and squares off against Trinity's Andrew Lee at 9:40 a.m. on Friday. Primarily playing in the fourth spot for Middlebury, Kagan is 11-9 overall this year and recently eclipsed the 50-win plateau. Kagan played in the CSA Individual Championships in 2018 and 2017. Middlebury and Trinity played each other in the NESCAC Semifinals earlier this year, but the pair did not face each other.
Bermingham plays in the Malloy West bracket and takes on Navy's Owen Davis at 1:50 p.m. on Friday. He has played in the top-spot for Middlebury all season and owns a 6-14 record, having recently eclipsed 30 career victories. The Panthers edged the Midshipmen 5-4 in last weekend's CSA Team Championship Summers Cup Semifinals, but the pair did not square off against each other.
