The #20 Middlebury men's squash team (4-9) was blanked 9-0 by #9 Virginia (11-4) in Boston on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers play their third match of the weekend on Sunday when they head to #24 Tufts for a 3:00 p.m. start.

The fifth and sixth spots saw tight matches, with Virginia edging Middlebury 3-2 in both. At #5, John Epley came from down 2-0 to knot the match 2-2 (7-11, 8-11, 13-11, 12-10), but ultimately fell in the final game 11-0. In the sixth flight, Nate Moll held a 2-1 edge (5-11, 11-3, 11-6), but his opponent won two-straight games to claim the 3-2 victory. 

William Cembalest saw his undefeated streak come to an end on Saturday, as he fell at #2 by scores of 11-7, 9-11, 11-3, 11-5. Cembalest won nine-straight matches to start the season, eclipsing his win-streak of eight from his rookie season in 2016-17.
