BOSTON, Mass. – The #20 Middlebury men's squash (4-8) suffered a 6-3 loss at #17 MIT (12-5) on Friday night. The Panthers have a quick turnaround, as they play #9 Virginia at Harvard on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
The Engineers earned the first four points of the contest with 3-0 victories at #7, #1, #4 and #5. Middlebury got on the board when Alex Merrill earned a 3-0 victory (9,10,10) in the ninth spot, picking up his fourth win of season.
Wiatt Hinton was victorious in the eighth spot with a 3-1 victory (11-3, 11-7, 2-11, 11-9). William Cembalest continued his undefeated streak winning his ninth-straight match 3-0 (7,8,7) in the second-spot for the 6-3 MIT final.
