Two members of the Middlebury College men's soccer team were honored when the United Soccer Coaches organization announced its All-New England Region teams. Senior Aidan Robinson (Gloucester, Mass.) and rookie Ryan Grady (Deerfield, Ill.) each picked up second-team honors. The duo helped lead the team to a 9-3-8 mark, a spot in the NESCAC Tournament title match and an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Robinson, a two-time Second-Team All-NESCAC selection, was an anchor on the Panther defensive unit this season. He started every match over the past three seasons for Middlebury as a back, appearing in 67 career contests with 59 starts. The captain was part a Panther defense that led the league and ranked fourth in Division III with a 0.50 goals against average, boasting 11 shutouts.
Grady, the NESCAC Rookie of the Year, logged nearly every minute in front of the Panther goal this season. He ranked among the national leaders in goals against average (0.49), while he led Division III in save percentage (.890). Grady tallied a season-best 10 saves against Amherst on September 29, and he had three or more saves in 14 matches last fall and didn't surrender a goal during Middlebury's two NCAA Tournament games.
