  • NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team Members Honored

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) has announced its 2017-18 Winter All-Academic Selections. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution. The following are Middlebury's 147 representatives, the highest among the 11 conference institutions
  • NESCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team Announced

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced its Winter All-Sportsmanship Team for each winter sport sponsored by the conference. The All-Sportsmanship Team is composed of one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team for their positive contributions to sportsmanship. The student-athlete selected must be in good academic standing and a member of the team at the conclusion of the season in order to be eligible for selection. 
  • Middlebury Concludes Season With Tie Against Amherst

    Amherst and Middlebury scored once each in the first two periods, skating to a 2-2 tie on Sunday in Kenyon Arena during the season finale for the Panthers. The Mammoths (11-8-5, 8-5-5) will take part in the NESCAC Quarterfinals next weekend, while Middlebury ends its campaign at 4-17-3 overall and 2-13-3 in league play.
  • Men's Hockey Edged By Hamilton, 1-0

    The Middlebury men’s hockey team fell to Hamilton, 1-0 on Saturday in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (4-17-2, 2-13-2) wrap up their regular season on Sunday, entertaining Amherst at 4:00 p.m., while the Continentals (15-6-2, 9-6-2) will travel to Williams for a 3:00 p.m. face-off.

  • Men's Hockey Falls to Williams as Klein Sets All-Time Saves Mark
    February 10, 2018
    Williams held off a late charge by Middlebury, as the Ephs (12-10-0, 8-8-0) picked up a 2-1 win in Kenyon Arena. Middlebury goaltender Stephen Klein became the school’s all-time leader in saves during the game, making 23 tonight for a career total of 2,050. He surpasses Brent Truchon ’92, who made 2,028 saves from 1989-1992. The Panthers (4-16-2, 2-12-2) return to action next Saturday when they host Hamilton at 4:00 p.m., while Williams entertains Amherst at 3:00 p.m.
  • Men's Hockey Drops Overtime Decision at Williams

    Williams’ Colby Cretella scored with 10 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Ephs to a 2-1 NESCAC victory over Middlebury (4-15-2, 2-11-2) on Friday in Massachusetts. The teams complete their two-game set on Saturday, with a 7:00 p.m. faceoff in Kenyon Arena.
  • #5 Trinity Skates Past Middlebury

    Fifth-ranked Trinity recorded a 3-0 victory over the Middlebury men's hockey team on Saturday afternoon in the Koeppel Community Sports Center. The Panthers (4-14-2, 2-10-2) remain in NESCAC play on Friday, traveling to Williams for a 7:00 p.m. start.
  • Panthers Fall On the Road at Wesleyan

    The Middlebury men’s hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision at Wesleyan (10-5-4, 6-4-3) during NESCAC play on Friday evening. The Panthers (4-13-2, 2-9-2) return to the ice on Saturday at #5 Trinity for a 4:00 p.m. faceoff.

    Each team scored a goal in the second period, as the Middlebury men’s hockey team and Tufts skated to a 1-1 NESCAC tie Saturday min Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (4-12-2, 2-8-2) return to the ice Friday at Wesleyan, while the Jumbos (4-11-3, 3-7-2) host Connecticut College with both games at 7:00 p.m.
  • Middlebury and Connecticut College Skate to 2-2 Tie

    Middlebury’s Kamil Tkaczuk scored the equalizer with 1:28 remaining in regulation, as the Panthers and Connecticut College (7-9-1, 6-4-1) skated to a 2-2 tie on Friday. Middlebury (4-12-1, 2-8-1) continues play tomorrow, hosting Tufts at 4:00 p.m., while the Camels visit Williams for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
  • Bowdoin Holds Off Men’s Hockey, 2-1

    Bowdoin scored two goals in a span of 3:36 during the second period, before holding on for a 2-1 victory over the Middlebury men’s hockey team Saturday in Maine. The Panthers (4-11-0, 2-7-0) return to the ice Friday at home against Connecticut College at 7:00 p.m.
  • Cosolito’s Late Goal Lifts Men’s Hockey Past Colby

    Frank Cosolito scored his first goal of the season with 1:52 left in Friday’s third period, lifting Middlebury to a 3-2 win over NESCAC foe Colby in Alfond Rink. The Panthers (4-11-0, 2-7-0) stay in Maine for a 4:00 p.m. contest on Saturday against Bowdoin, while the Mules (7-8-0, 6-5-0) host Williams at 3:00 p.m.
  • #11 Norwich Skates Past Middlebury, 5-1

    Norwich scored four-unanswered goals, breaking a 1-1 tie en route to a 5-1 home victory over the Middlebury men’s hockey team on Tuesday. The Panthers (3-11-0) return to NESCAC play on Friday, traveling to Colby for a 7:00 p.m. start.
  • Plattsburgh State Holds Off Middlebury, 3-2

    Plattsburgh State scored the deciding goal midway through the second period as the Cardinals collected a 3-2 win over the Middlebury men’s hockey team Friday in Kenyon Arena. The meeting was the 50th all-time meeting between the two storied programs, with Plattsburgh State holding a 25-21-4 lead. The Panthers (3-10-0) travel to 13th-ranked Norwich on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., while the Cardinals (8-7-0) head to Williams Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.

    Third-ranked Trinity scored three times in the final period, skating past the Middlebury men’s hockey team 3-0 in NESCAC action on Sunday. The Panthers (3-9-0, 1-7-0) host Plattsburgh State for a non-conference game Friday at 7:00 p.m., while the Bantams (7-3-2, 4-1-1) entertain conference opponent Colby the same day at 7:30 p.m.
  • Middlebury Drops NESCAC Contest To Wesleyan

    The Middlebury men’s hockey team dropped a 6-1 NESCAC decision to visiting Wesleyan, as the Cardinals scored twice in each period Saturday in Kenyon Arena. Both teams return to action on Sunday with the Panthers (3-8-0, 1-6-0) hosting third-ranked Trinity at 4:00 p.m., while the Cardinals (6-1-3, 2-1-2) head to Williams for a 3:00 p.m. start.
  • Skate With the Panthers This Sunday

    The Middlebury men's hockey team will offer its annual "Skate With the Panthers" on Sunday, January 7 in Chip Kenyon ’85 Arena following its 4:00 p.m. NESCAC contest against third-ranked Trinity. Players will skate with the fans at the conclusion of the game, as well as be available to sign team photos, which will be provided.
  • Middlebury Upends #3 Oswego State to Win Holiday Classic

    Middlebury’s Mitchell Allen scored with 2:29 remaining, lifting the Panthers to a 4-3 upset of third-ranked Oswego State in the title game of the Middlebury Holiday Classic on Sunday. The Panthers (3-7-0) return to NESCAC play on Saturday when they host Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m., while the Lakers (9-2-1) entertain Skidmore that same night.
  • Men’s Hockey Advances to Holiday Classic Championship

    Middlebury (2-7-0) shutout St. Michael’s, 4-0, in the opening round of the Middlebury Holiday Classic on Saturday in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers advance to the title game on Sunday at 4:00 p.m., while the Purple Knights (5-5-1) will play in the consolation game at 1:00 p.m.
  • Panthers Drop Road Contest at Amherst

    The Middlebury men’s hockey team suffered a 4-1 NESCAC setback on Saturday in Massachusetts, as Amherst’s Patrick Daly recorded a hat trick for the Mammoths (4-1-3, 2-0-3). The Panthers (1-7-0, 1-5-0) are idle until the end of the month when they host the Middlebury Holiday Classic on December 30 and 31.
  • Men’s Hockey Falls to #13 Hamilton, 4-1

    Hamilton scored four unanswered goals, as the 13th-ranked Continentals (4-2-1, 1-2-1) skated to a 4-1 victory over visiting Middlebury on Friday. The Panthers (1-6-0, 1-4-0) continue conference action Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with a road contest at Amherst.
  • Fast Start Sparks Middlebury Past Tufts

    The Middlebury men’s hockey team scored twice in the first period and received 37 saves from goalie Stephen Klein, as the Panthers (1-5-0, 1-3-0) netted a 2-0 NESCAC victory Saturday at Tufts (1-5-1, 0-3-1). Middlebury continues conference play Friday, with a road contest at Hamilton.
  • Conn. College Tops Men’s Hockey in NESCAC Play

    The Middlebury men’s hockey dropped its first road game of the season by a 5-0 decision on Friday night at Connecticut College in Dayton Arena. The Panthers (0-5-0, 0-3-0) conclude the conference weekend with a 4:00 p.m. contest on Saturday at Tufts.
  • Men’s Hockey Falls to Norwich in PrimeLink Consolation Game

    Norwich scored three goals in the second period on its way to a 5-1 victory over Middlebury in the consolation game of the 20th Annual PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut on Saturday in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (0-4-0) return to the ice Friday in a NESCAC contest at Connecticut College, while Norwich (5-3-1) travels to Castleton on the same day. Saturday’s contest was the 153rd all-time meeting between the two programs, with Middlebury owning an 80-64-9 advantage.
  • Lawrence Skates Past Men's Hockey in PrimeLink ShootOut

    Lawrence scored four times in the third period, advancing to the title game of the 20th Annual PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut, as the Vikings doubled up Middlebury 6-3 Friday night in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (0-3-0) face defending national champion Norwich in the consolation game Saturday at 4:00 p.m., while Lawrence (3-4-0) battles Plattsburgh State in the championship at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals skated past the Cadets 4-1 in the other semifinal.
  • Men's Hockey to Host 20th Annual PrimeLink Tournament

    Middlebury will host the 20th-annual PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut in Kenyon Arena on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25. The opening game at 4:00 p.m. features Norwich aganist Plattsburgh State, while the Panthers will take on Lawrence (Wis.) in the nightcap at 7:00 p.m. The consolation game will face-off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday with the title game scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

    November 19, 2017
    Bowdoin scored once in the first and third periods, as the Polar Bears skated past Middlebury 2-0 on Sunday in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (0-2-0, 0-2-0) return to the ice Friday at home against Lawrence (Wis.) at 7:00 p.m. in the opening round of the PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut, while Bowdoin )1-1-0, 1-1-0) entertains the University of New England Tuesday for its home opener.
