The Middlebury men’s hockey team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with a 6-2 loss at Williams on Saturday. The home-and-home series continues on Sunday when the Ephs (13-5-3, 10-3-2) visit the Panthers (10-9-2, 9-4-2) for a 4:00 p.m. game in Kenyon Arena.
Trailing 1-0, Louis Belisle put the Panthers on the board at the 6:15 mark of the second period. The goal was his team-leading 11th of the season. Williams countered with three goals in the final 6:44 of the period to take a 5-1 advantage into the third. The Ephs added a third period goal before Robbie Donahoe scored the game’s final goal for Middlebury at the 16:15 mark.
Williams held a slim 37-36 shots advantage, as Sean Dougherty made 34 saves in goal to earn the win. Dan Fullam (33 MP, 3GA, 16 saves) and Nick BonDurant (27 MP, 3 GA, 15 saves) split time for the Panthers.
