The Panther men's hockey team dropped a non-league game at Plattsburgh on Friday night, falling 7-1. The Panthers fall to 5-7-2 overall, returning to action next weekend when they host Colby and Bowdoin on Friday and Saturday in Kenyon Arena.
Trailing 2-0, Middlebury's Evan Neugold scored his fourth of the season with 1:51 remaining in the first period. Louis Belisle picked up his fifth assist of the year on the goal.
Plattsburgh added three goals in the second and two more in the third to seal the win. Liam Moorfield Yee (12 saves), Nick BonDurant (13 saves) and Michael Peters (11 saves) all saw action in net for the Panthers. Mathieu Cadieux made 18 saves in net for Plattsburgh, who held a 43-19 shots advantage in the game.
