  • Men's Hockey Season Tickets Now On Sale
    October 13, 2010
    Season tickets are now on sale for the 2010-11 Men's Hockey season. On Monday, October 11th, tickets may be purchased at the McCullough Student Center or CFA box offices during regular business hours, or by going to go.middlebury.edu/tickets or by calling (802) 443-6433.
  • Drolet Earns All-American Honors

    Middlebury College men's hockey player Martin Drolet (Lachine, Que.) has been named a second-team All-American by the AHCA (American Hockey Coaches Association). The two-time All-NESCAC selection recently helped lead the team to its eighth NESCAC Championship, with an overall record of 19-5-4.
  • Men's Hockey To Host NCAA Tournament Game - Game Is Sold Out!

    The Middlebury men's hockey team will make its 14th NCAA Tournament appearance when they host Plattsburgh on Saturday, March 13th in a quarterfinal match-up at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, March 9th at the McCullough/Mahaney box offices (802-443-6433), and are priced at $7 for adults and $4 for students.   • Men's Hockey Falls To Plattsburgh In OT

    Jared Docking put home his own rebound after a shot from Kyle Taylor had been saved, lifting Plattsburgh to a 3-2 overtime victory in an NCAA Quarterfinal game. The goal was the third of the year for Docking, coming just 3:19 into the extra session.
  • Townsend Earns Player Of The Week Honors

    Middlebury College men's hockey player Charlie Townsend (Pennington, N.J.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Townsend broke a 2-2 tie on Sunday during the final of the 2010 NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Championship by scoring the game-winner with just 1:42 remaining to lift the Panthers to a 3-2 victory over Bowdoin.
  • Men's Hockey Wins NESCAC Championship

    Middlebury senior captain Charlie Townsend scored the game-winning goal with 1:42 remaining in the third period to give the Panthers their eighth NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Championship, 3-2, over Bowdoin on Sunday at Sidney J. Watson Arena. With their fourth win over the Polar Bears in the title game, the Panthers (19-4-4) earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
  • Men's Hockey Advances To NESCAC Final

    Middlebury took command with a three-goal second-period en route to a 4-2 win over Trinity in the NESCAC Semifinals at Bowdoin's Sidney J. Watson Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (18-4-4) advance to their 11th conference championship tilt tomorrow and will look for their eighth NESCAC crown when they face top-seeded Bowdoin College at 2:00 p.m. Trinity ends its season with a record of 15-9-2.

Bowdoin will meet Hamilton in the first semifinal on Saturday, March 6th at 1:00, followed by Middlebury vs. Trinity at 4:00 p.m. The winners meet for the NESCAC Championship on Sunday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m.
  • Dubuc Is NESCAC Player Of The Week

    Middlebury College men's hockey player Mathieu Dubuc (Blainville, Que.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Dubuc played a part in four of the Panthers' six goals during a 6-2 victory over Tufts in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday. He earned a hat-trick in the game, while also adding an assist.

    Middlebury advanced to the NESCAC semifinals after a 6-2 win over Tufts in a quarterfinal match-up in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (17-4-4) will take part in the championship weekend on March 6th & 7th at Bowdoin.

    The Middlebury men's hockey team will host Tufts in a NESCAC Quarterfinal game on Saturday, February 27th at 4:00 p.m. The women also host a quarterfinal game, taking on Hamilton at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at $7 for adults and $3 for student, with a ticket gaining you admission to both games.
  • Men's Hockey Tops Castleton To End Regular Season

    The Middlebury men's hockey team ended its regular season with a 7-3 win at in-state foe Castleton. The Panthers finish the regular season 16-4-4, 12-3-4 in NESCAC play, good for second place overall in the league standings with 28 points.

    The Middlebury men's hockey team earned a 3-1 road win at Skidmore in the final weekend of NESCAC play. The Panthers trail first place Bowdoin by one point entering tomorrow's regular season finale at Castleton.

    Middlebury College men's hockey player Bryan Curran (Wilmette, Ill.) has been named one of 16 semifinalists for the eighth Joe Concannon Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England playing at the D-II/III level.

    Senior John Sullivan scored two goals and classmate Charlie Townsend added a goal and an assist as ninth-ranked Middlebury defeated host Babson, 3-1, in an ECAC East/NESCAC matchup at the Babson Skating Center on Saturday afternoon.

    The Middlebury men's hockey team picked up a 5-1 win at UMass.-Boston on Friday night. The Panthers outshot the Beacons 38-27 in the game as Charlie Townsend netted a pair of goals to lead Middlebury to the win.

    Middlebury earned a big NESCAC road win as they picked up a come-from-behind 4-2 win at Williams on Tuesday night. The ninth-ranked Panthers trailed 2-0 after one period, but bounced back with three unanswered goals in the second period to defeat the sixth-ranked Ephs.
  • Men's Hockey Cruises Past St. Michael's

    Middlebury broke open a 2-1 game with three straight goals en route to a 7-2 victory over St. Michael's (4-13-3, 2-10-3). The 10th ranked Panthers (11-4-4, 7-3-4) outshot the Purple Knights 37-18 in the game, scoring three power play goals.

    Norwich remained unbeaten on the season at 16-0-4 as the second-ranked Cadets earned a 3-1 win at 10th ranked Middlebury (10-4-4, 6-3-4) on Friday night. The game was played before a crowd of 2,480 in Kenyon Arena, as Norwich held a slim 27-24 shots advantage.

    Middlebury won its third straight game as the 10th-ranked Panthers earned a 5-3 victory over #5 Plattsburgh in Kenyon Arena. The win avenges an earlier 3-1 loss to the Cardinals (13-4-4) at the PrimeLink Tournament. The Panthers (10-3-4) return to action when they host Norwich on Friday night and St. Michael's on Saturday.

    Middlebury gained four valuable NESCAC points over the weekend, topping Colby 7-4 on Friday before earning a 5-2 win over Bowdoin (11-5-1, 8-4-1) on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (9-3-4, 6-2-4) return to action on Tuesday night when they host Plattsburgh at 7:00 p.m.
  • Men's Hockey Back On Track With Win Over Colby

    Middlebury (8-3-4, 5-2-4) tied its season-high with a seven-goal output, as the Panthers picked up a 7-4 win over Colby (10-3-3, 6-3-3) in Kenyon Arena. The win breaks a brief two-game losing streak, as the Panthers return to action on Saturday when they host Bowdoin at 4:00 p.m.

  • Men's Hockey Shutout At St. Anselm

    Middlebury dropped its second straight game as they Panthers suffered a 4-0 road loss at the hands of St. Anselm. The win was the first for the Hawks 7-6-1 (5-5-1 ECAC East) over the Panthers (4-2-4 NESCAC) in 16 years.
  • Rough Third Period Leads N.E.C. Past Men's Hockey

    New England College netted five unanswered third period goals lifting the Pilgrims past visiting Middlebury 7-4 in men's ice hockey action Friday evening. With the win the Pilgrims even their overall record at 7-7-2, while the loss is just the second on the season for the Panthers who drop to 7-2-4 overall.
  • Men's Hockey Continues Dominance Over Wesleyan

    Middlebury (7-1-4, 4-0-4 league) maintained its men's ice hockey mastery over Wesleyan (5-7, 2-6) as Chris Brown scored the first two goals of his career, the second with 9:17 left in the game to break a 1-1 tie, and propel the Panthers to their 34th straight game vs. Wesleyan without a loss, 3-1, here today. Brown, who has played in just three games this season, now has a pair of goals and an assist on the year.
  • Men's Hockey Earns Tie With Trinity
    January 15, 2010
    Middlebury settled for its fourth tie of the season as the Panthers earned a point with a 2-2 NESCAC road game at Trinity. Bantam Ryan Crapser scored with just 1:34 remaining on the clock to force the game into overtime, after Trinity had trailed 2-0. Trinity moves to 6-4-2, while seventh-ranked Middlebury goes to 6-1-4. The Panthers held a 40-23 shots advantage in the contest.
