Middlebury College men's hockey player Jamie McKenna (Lake Placid, N.Y.) has been named an AHCA (American Hockey Coaches Association) second-team All-American. The senior helped lead the Panthers to an impressive 19-7-1 mark with a trip to the NESCAC Championship game.
McKenna enjoyed a great season for the Panthers, finishing the year second in the NESCAC in points (1.52/game) and assists (.92/game). He was tied for first in the league with seven power play and five game-winning goals. He ended the season with 15 goals and a team-high 23 assists for 38 points on the season. The senior earned a hat-trick at Colby this season, while scoring a goal in each of the first five games of the season. He dished out three assists in a game three times this season and owns 45 goals and 72 assists for 117 career points in 95 games.
McKenna was a semifinalist for the Joe Concannon Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England playing at the D-II/III level.
