Middlebury won its seventh straight game as they picked up a 3-1 win over Hamilton at the Kenyon Arena. The Panthers return to action on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. as they host Amherst in a make-up game from Friday night.
Brett Shirreffs opened the scoring at the 18:07 mark of the first period with a power play goal. Evgeny Saidachev made it a 2-0 game with 1:53 left in the second period, while Kevin Cooper gave the Panther some breathing room midway through the third as he scored from just outside the crease.
Marc Scheuer made nine saves in goal for the shutout, while Rob MacNeil made 34 stops for Hamilton.
